Then, just don't tame it and let others tame them imho. Problem solved.

I've been running around with one, if they scaled it down, I would use it (tho the buff they gave serpents is useless for solo hunters tho ). I have that sinking feeling its an "oops", but it doesn't appear to be a leap of logic over, say, taming a skeleton bird or spider made of rock.

Personally I don't see anything wrong with taming these. They are a beautiful model and I think I like them a little more than the arcane serpents. I hope he isn't as scaled down as they are though. The way the arcane serpents "slither" close to the ground bothers me a bit, especially at their size.

Sea Serpents in Uldum are not tameable FWIW

I REALLY REALLY hope this isn't a mistake!!!! These sea snakes are so beautiful!!!!!

I've wanted a sea serpent since I saw one in Vash'jr and I was so disappointed when I couldn't take one. If these lovely creatures are tamable, one shall be joining me in my stable ^_^

What about the one in the Wandering Isle?

I already reported this to Muffinus, saying that I thought that it was obviously unintentional, but maybe they could spin something out of it, a way to make it tameable anyway.

Is what he replied with, so we don't know what's going to happen yet. I just know that, by mentioning it, and asking if they can find a way to make them tameable, you're gonna have a greater chance for them to be tameable than trying to be sneaky with it, and hoping that it will find its way into the finished game as a bug. 1. Jeremy reads this forum, he would've seen it anyway. 2. Blizzard has gotten way too good at ironing out the tameability, and finding bugs.

I hope it is intetional (though i fear otherwise) as ive been wanting aquatic pets like mad sins Cata hit with all their new sharks and other aquatic creature models.
the mooray eel would be just a grand edition as well as many others.

If many minipets and even a dungeon fish NPC can manage fine out of water i dont see it as a issue for the creatures to become hunter pets.
With those in mind "no, it doesnt belong/seem right." is not a viable answere.
If it is then i shouldnt be able to own and send my utterly cute seahorse to its death in a petbattle either...
