I have tamed "The beast" from Upper blackrock spire...since this is a 15-man instance he is considered a raid boss....and YES you can tame this one...Ill give you tips on how to do this as well.

First have a shammy frined come along with you....make sure he/she is a healing spec shammy.

Second bring things with haste...like potions...elixers...your friends skills...

3rd make sure you have your haste elixer up(Elixer of lightning) and your haste potion...(500 haste for 15 secs.)

When you pop your potion have your shammy pop his blood lust THEN start your tame...but be WARNED...this boss has a massive knock back and it's almost every hit...i got myself into a cornor and had my shaman buddy use his earth sheild to reduces alot of damage...

Heres best way (i think) to get this pet...Have earth sheild up on you at all times...makes sure elixer is up and make sure you have yourself into a cornor..when the beast walks by grab him with a distracting shot and wait for his 2nd knockback...THEN pop your hate pot and Bloodlust...arond the 2 knockdown he starts his 5 secons fire ball cast..you have to beat that...and with a little luck doded his next knock back....

This pet is completly different from ALL other BM pets for he retains his (Boss) title and his level will be a skull or a ?? (I have a pic below.)

But this may take you a few tries...it took me at least 4 times to get it right..

Id also reccomend using either dragonhawk/monkey for dodge or the viper for the mana boost every few seconds...

This pet may be a skull at first but under the skull hes a level 62...yet he keeps the nice skull after taming.

He is also a RAID boss...so he hits really hard....hit my 75 hunter for 2500 a hit....so im warning you now.

Don't feel stupid, you put together a really helpful guide. Someone who hasn't seen the other topic might see yours.

Well im always happy to help my fellow hunters...and seeing as how im new to this site and all i just wanted to share my fav pet..now if i can find out how to get one of those niffty signatures id be all set.

the dragon thing is nice but i want one of those big ones like Saturo has...ive got the idea in my head...but anyway...back to this topic...this pet was annoying to tame...but i never gave up on him and got him during my 5th turn

Aw, congrats! I have The Beast myself and I agree...he's just so awesome. Definitely a keeper for me. ^^

Well if ANYONE needs more detail on how to tame it please let me know...ill try to type it out to the best of my knowlage.

sigh... failed at the Beast... didn't bring enough speed pots, and had no idea where to go to get a trash pet..

Worst part is I abandoned my rare Silithid in the rush once I got to the beast's room.. sigh...

Got my haste up to 553 before the haste pot, but messed up the timing each time. Need some cheap speed pots.

gaah... went back with more speed pots, and the dang room you have to clear to open the one door had respawned... enough of this for one night... sigh..

gonna be almost impossable to solo...you need a shammy for bloodlust..or a disc preist for one of their talent tree skills.
