I think late September is possible for the 6.0 patch, and we should see the actual WoD launch at least a month after that (providing they're doing that big Iron Horde Invasion pre-launch event, around 2-3 weeks if not).

When is the WoW 10th anniversary? I think it would be nice if they lined it up

Oh, good point, re: the event. Hum. I hope I haven't hedged my bets too fast, then, calling it the 23rd.

10th anniversary should be Nov 6. November 7-8 is BlizzCon though, so it would have to be a week or so before that or after that at a MINIMUM, and I doubt they'd cut it that close considering how much of their schedule gets thrown off by BlizzCon.

I think they said in the past it'll be like 4-6 weeks minimum between 6.0 and WoD, but I don't know if that's still the plan, or if I could find a source for that if I tried (sigh, twitter).

I'd say a week/two after Blizzcon. Making people choose either to go/watch online/follow Blizzcon or to play new content (which would feel like finding an oasis in the middle of the desert after 40 days of dry journey by then) would be outward sadistic

Then, regarding WoW on Blizzcon, they could give hints and discussions about the directions plot is going to take for 6.1+, maybe some new features they're going to implement through WoD, and maybe, just maybe, a slightest bit of a hint where 7.0 might be heading. But let's not get to hasty or greedy here, let's keep all of the 7.0 juicy hype for the next year
Besides, they'll have alot of non-WoW material for Blizzcon this year anyway. HotS, next SC2 expac, probably some Heartstone stuff...

Well Mightyape the site I always pre-order my CE from has 30 Sep 2014 but they say it's a unconfirmed date. So maybe around that time?

Woah woah woah! I thought they said it'd be out December 20th or earlier. Suddenly I'm seeing that till be out in September or November. Not that I'm complaining actually...as much as I'd love Draenor to hit...don't they know that September is when us who are still in education have to go back D: I had this with MoP. I had 5 minutes of panda monks and then had to go to school.

As long as I get time to get my pandaren Phoenix (have I seriously been calling it an ancestral Phoenix this whole time? I blame the eggs name) I'm happy. Oh, and get time to grab myself the last of the MoP rep grind mounts I need. 150 mounts is what I'd like, but 146 I'll settle for. It means I'll hit 150 when Draenor gets here. But...ugh!

This talk of people taming hydras and stags is teasing those who can't get into beta. Side note, does anyone know if it's the pre-patch those CM mounts are unobtainable or if it's the actual Draenor patch. Also, how are those eligible for the mounts to get them? Do they just appear in the mount tab like magic? Or like that random ram my hunter had in her mount journal when it wasn't there yesterday

It'll probably be the pre-patch. Most of them are.

I am going to bet late September or early October as a timeline. Since they are releasing the trailer, I think launch will be before blizzcon in November, but not too close to blizzcon so they wont end up competeting with themselves and players doing the first raids/mythics etc. That also means 6.0 in about a month which I dont know about... beta still has a ways to go I think.

If not that, then late November, early December. I don't see a late October early November release, but hey I literally know nothing about these things

Truthfully I don't see the expansion releasing until after BlizzCon, so I'm gonna guess mid-late November.

Doesn't the expansion always release like 3 months after they announce the date?

I'm sticking to my prediction of the second Tuesday in October. The 14th to be exact.

I don't care when it drops as long as we get SOMETHING else. This pre-patch can't come any sooner. We've had almost a year of SoO. I'm sick of it.

Gah, I see these predictions of 6.0 dates and all I can think of is "I still haven't got those challenge modes for the phoenixes"

I think the additions to the new beta build of the corgi pet and mount from MC pretty much confirm that WoD will release before the Anniversary comes. At least I'm hoping that's the case.

The 40man lfr is for max level toons isn't it? So if that's the case then WoD release after the anniversary some time in December.
