Wings of light mount

Someone found this and it is mentioned on the MMO Champions forum. Anyone on beta have run into this at all? The 3d model is of the White stallion mount from Vanilla. It is the one mount I wish I had gotten but I joined Wow during BC when it was nearing its end. So by that point we got the swift white steed, I love the mount but I still want the white stallion.

The white stallion is appearing as the default (placeholder) for all new mount spells created, so I wouldn't read anything into that, sorry

The spell might represent a true mount, which puts wings in you, but it's also quite likely to just be a temp "mount" used for an item effect or quest.

I thought it was obvious that this is for the new Darkmoon fair quest?

That was my 1st assumption at a quick glance, but looking into it further, the DMF version seem to be called "Wings of Flame" and acts as a buff, and is placed on you once shot into the air straight after the commencement of the quest, Firebirds Challenge

The buff is..

• Wings of Flame
  Instant
  The caster sprouts wings of flame, allowing them to fly.

... and only lasts 10seconds, but is modified by the rings you fly through, it's not an actual useable/castable item/spell.

The Wings Of Light so far has a 1.5 sec cast time and summons and dismisses your Wings of Light. It also only mentions ground speed modifiers , so it might not even be used to actually fly. (similar to the new Creeping Carpet.)

That said it's also not confirmed to be a permanent mount, it could be an item not dissimilar to The Hallows Eve Broom sticks or Moonfangs Shimmering Moonstone, or it could be something tied to one of those quirky Ashran Class only items, who knows!

Just going to have to wait and see on this one I think, that and hope for the best

Angelic wing mount? Sounds like a specific class mount.

Weren't priests supposed to be able to fly using a spell by this name? Or am I wrong? Seems a priest or paladin thing to me.

Wouldn't surprise me if this will be something like Zen Flight, just for Priests. But in non-flying zones, simply acts like Levitate (as in the floating animation), but at mount speed.

With the reveal of the anniversary events, could it be a placeholder for the Corehound mount?
