While looking on WoW Insider I noticed they have posted the new mount reward for the achievement Mountacular and it happens to be the Emerald Drake!! Just thought I would let you guys know as I didn't see it on here yet.

I'm glad we are getting a green drake at long last but it does seem a bit of an odd choice for the 250 reward. most of the other flights were fairly easy to obtain. not that I am complaining. I do hope the green drake has something that will make is stand out a bit more as a 250 mount though. like maybe some armor or a green mist aura coming of of it or something. although I will be happy regardless. I do so love mount collecting and will take any excuse i can to keep collecting. ^.^

Yeah, they've already changed their minds and removed it as the achievement reward (though it will still be available through something else). Now the 250 reward seems to be the Felfire Hawk (I'm assuming the green version of the Firelands hawk).

Seeing as the Green Fire Hawk has been a bugged mount spell in Beta, I highly suspect that you're right, Veph. That, or it's one of the new eagle-model mounts, like a green Sunhawk.

Personally I prefer this, as I don't like regular drake mounts. But I'm glad to see the Emerald Drake is going to be available some other way!

The Emerald Drake is still likely to appear, but from a different source. Jonathan LeCraft even posted a straw poll though I'm not sure how serious he was about that

I agree, as much as I've wanted a green drake just for completionists sake, the models themselves are a little lackluster these days and it just didn't feel like the right reward for such a big achievement. I'm hoping they'll add it as a drop from an old raid boss or something.

I am quite happy with this sudden change. Fel green is one of my favorite wow colors and the green fire hawk is my favorite of the three. Can't wait to get one. I would still like the emerald drake though. hope it has a reasonable way of being obtained.

abit sad im prob one of the only ppl that really likes the drakes lol!! I hope its a rep thing and not some mad rng drop when it is implemented tho.

Man I don't even have the 200 mount one yet and now this! Gah slow Cow is slow. Snails go "Dang girl you slow!"

Remember this may not be implemented until WoD and we're likely to have access to a bunch of easier-to-get mounts again. That should make it a little easier for many

Green firehawk looks awesome and I look forward to riding it, much more than the previous "_50" achieve mounts. Almost wish they'd put in the achieve early.

Now I'm wondering what the 300 achieve mount will be (please please not another dragonhawk...)

Blackmarket Auction House: Nope, then I'd never be able to afford it.

A faction in warlords: Maybe, if the reason the faction got their hands on the drake makes sense.

Drop from legacy raid boss: Again maybe if the reason the raid boss has the drake makes sense. Or they redo Sunken Temple.

Vendor: Tempting but would take the fun out of finally getting the drake. Odd, yeah, but sometimes repeatedly killing a boss to finally have the mount drop leaves behind a wonderful feeling of success. And relief that you don't have to visit that boss anymore.
