So I just read this story and I quite frankly did not think we had native spiders that have a body size around 20mm and legs as long as 15cm but look at this!

Like we have Avondale spiders and they I think might have longer legs but they are from Australia!

This is a link to the story.

Er wow! I didn't think you had spiders that big either! Native ones anyway.

Didn't arachnophobia start with mailed spiders, Veph? Well, sorta mailed. Do coffins count as mail? Just don't let me mom see it, she freaked out at a garden spider so bad when I was a kid that one neighbor called, and one drove over because she screamed all the way back to the house. I wasn't sure what was wrong.. I just wanted her to see the big garden spider stretched across the path between the raspberries and the corn... And she saw it was just a spider, and how pretty it was. It was right in her face when she turned in her stooped picking to look... In seriousness.. That is one big spider. Looks like it has a nice purple tone to it.

Cool spider! :D

Minor rant: drives me nuts when people try to use "poison" and "venom" interchangeably. They're not the same thing!

Me too...Venom is injected, poison is imbibed, for those who don't know.

VENOMOUS snakes. POISONOUS drinks.

On topic...SET THAT THING ON FIRE. KILL IT. NOW.
