WoW Petopia Community

I want to offer the Petopia community a service, and I hope to goodness I don't dig myself into a hole (Thanks to Qraljar for helping too!)

If you aren't in beta, then I am offering to show you your character with new the models.

They are still being worked on, these previews aren't final by any means, please don't freak out! Wait to see final products in game before making any big decisions like character customization services.

All models that are making in to live are in right now: M/F of the following Orc, Undead, Tauren, Troll, Human, Dwarf, Night Elf, Gnome, Dranei (Blood Elf got pushed back, and Worgen/Goblin I believe will be later.)

What we need:
1- A clear screenshot or armory link. Taking off/hiding the helm helps. If you wish for a specific pose or angle, just snap it and we will do our best to recreate!
2- We are unable to recreate full specific gear looks, so the beta defaults have to do. If you prefer to see a character with no armor, or perhaps no shoulders or no weapon etc just specify.
3- If there is a specific defining piece of gear for your character (like a helm or shoulders), provide the wowhead link and we can display them in dressing room on beta.
4- We won't be able to travel to every location, so screenshots will likely be in Stormwind/Orgrimmar or somewhere close like that. That being said, lighting in zones will affect how your character looks, keep that in mind!
5- If you can pass along the current Skin and Face numbers from the character selection, that helps a lot since some of this is guess work for us!

Disclaimer:
We will get to these as soon as we can, but cannot make promises about time frames. If we are online, usually one of us can knock it out quickly, within the hour. I imagine most will be gotten within 24 hours of posting, maybe longer if we get a whole bunch of requests while we are away from our computers. We will try to get everyone though!

Yay. Eh, maybe some sort of system to this would be good so that we don't really do the same thing at the same time.



Also, to people who might be thinking this: yep, I know there's the WoWhead profiler, but that one is flawed. It has old faces, is generally not up-to-date, and doesn't load the features right at all. It happens all too often that the model viewer on WoWhead loads the wrong beard, at least. So this is just to offer a more accurate representation. The most accurate currently possible, in fact.

Good point. I think seeing a shot of them in game feels different than that.

The WoWhead profiler really doesn't work too well now. For one, the old faces are still in for those models that were added before. The night elf females that got new faces still have the old ones. Same for orc females, etc.

i would LOOOOVE to se how Tårnfalk would look like.. this is just a stationary face expression but i would love to see her as an updated model

The two draenei are my mains (hunter and shaman) and the night elf is my main secondary toon (priest). Thank you for this!

I have a beta invite, but my computer is old and wonky, I don't want to risk trying the beta with all of its bugs out on it.

Shadé, my first toon, is:
Skin 5, Face 2, Ponytail hair, which is not on the creation menu options, so go with hair 3 if that is easier, Hair color 4, Horns 1

Glowe, the second toon, is:
Skin 7, Face 4, Hair 1 will do (she uses the gathered style in game), Hair color 5, Markings 8

Tsubame, the third toon, is:
Skin 6, Face 9, Hair 2, hair color 2, horns 1

Glowe looks a lot different, but that's because that face has not yet had the sameface treatment yet, I think. Hmh.. shame about that. I'll try to take another picture for you in future builds if that changes, though!

Awesome guys thank you so much! I was pretty curious if their looks would translate nicely or if I would have to pay to change them up to something close to how I had them before hand.

I take that the hairstyle is still unfinished, as the bands are supposed to be metal. It's still a big relief to see how it turned out, especially the crown-braiding part. The face itself, though... uhm... I think Myrrmi will be keeping her skullhelm still on
