Is that....Gallywix? Now I know where he's been all this time. Trying to trim down that humungous chin he's got going on there

When I first saw the Kalimdor screen, I had to take a closer look. I couldn't tell if that was supposed to be Baine on the right. While it's nice that they've updated the screen to show Baine instead of Cairne, they've made him look like some kind of Tauren/Troll hybrid.


EDIT: Okay, in looking at both screens again, I'm gonna have to say I prefer the current ones. I'm not sure what the artist had in his/her head when creating these.

Kalimdor in particular:

• -Thrall is back and Garrosh is gone. That's a good thing, though I'm not keen on Thrall's hippy shaman look. Looks like he's been hitting the gym
  -Baine instead of Cairne. While I do miss Cairne, it's about time Baine was put on the screen with the other leaders. It's just that he looks like some weird mutant. He's downright scrawny for a Tauren and has a Deathwing-esque jaw. His body has a fairly Troll-ish air to it. And why isn't he holding Fearbreaker or at least a big ol totem weapon?
  -Vol'jin is a little more front-and-center than in the old screen, but seems a little less impressive. He seems to have gotten a tusk reduction job.
  -Velen seems to be pretty much the same, just smaller and not in the back row any more.
  -We finally get Gallywix instead of Generic Goblin Rogue on the load screen. He pretty much matches other pics I've seen of him. Pity there's no cure for goiter on Azeroth.
  -Tyrande, or at least I've always assumed that's Tyrande and not Generic Night Elf Woman, hasn't changed. It's the same picture, just flipped on the vertical axis so that she's looking away from the other leaders. It kinda makes her look as if she's turning away in disgust because Gallywix made some sort of lewd proposition.

Varian seems to have come down with a case of 'Garrosh Syndrome' resulting in some head shrinkage, too.

I really don't like how dated Tyrande and Velen look compared to everyone else. It's very jarring and it's been annoying to no end since I first saw the pic a long time ago. In the current loading screen too, I feel Velen is too copy+paste into the picture, his art style is so much more different so he looks like he wasn't supposed to be in the picture with that piece but rather a different one that got scrapped. Least for my eyes this is what I see xD

Not liking Sylvanas' pose either, it's very awkward and it looks like she got crammed into the corner even though she has lots of space and it's doesn't seem very appealing. I cannot stop laughing at BIG CHESTED teeny tiny head Varian Everyone else looks really good though! Love Gallywix's chin lmfao, and Baine actually looks like quite the powerful leader, probably thee most powerful in these two artworks. He looks truly ready for war-- even though I'm sure in-game he's probably going to keep trying to keep balance like Cairne did with politics, but he's definitely no push over. 'Course he has the youth Cairne didn't to be able to lead on the battlefield.

I don't like them so much, but I don't really care tbh, I usually don't stare at the screen while it's loading

Yeah, I'm not fond of Sylvanas either. Is it just me or does part of the top screen look like it's the wrong aspect ratio? Genn's head looks too broad like the pic was stretched, maybe he sucked out Varian's brains.

Part of it may be that it's hard to get decent detail at small scale. For a sec I thought that Sylvanas was wearing animal pelts before I realized she just had a Bronzebeard in her cleavage.

Loving Gallywix, very gross Velen's image would be a whole lot more effective in the background than foreground. It doesn't feel like it was designed for that kind of placement.

Varian looks like he's about to go Dragonball Z on us. What's he doing, charging up his power beam? And who shrunk his head?

And why are Baine's horns /so high up/ on his head? He must have a horribly deformed skull, poor guy!

Sylvanas' pose looks like she's about to jump down and awkwardly pwn someone by smacking them with her bow. But we all know it's really an obligatory boob shot.

Ah gotta love overweight Gobbos.

Two Issues:

A. The Dwarf should be Moira. Period.
B. Why is Genn in his Human Form? He's representing the Worgen.

That's Genn? I thought it was another human (my mind said Uther, but I knew that couldn't be right) and I was wondering where the worgen leader was. All around, I know that the art department has been busy but they honestly could've done better I think.

I'm going to laugh every time I see Varian's teeny head. That's just. Hahaha!!

I don't really like Sylvanas so to me she pretty much looks like garbage all the time. The art isn't bad the style just doesn't fit.

Would rather see Worgen Genn than Human Genn, too. I agree Moira should be representing the Dwarves here.

Whoever put this together didn't do a very good job the pictures aren't correctly sized, some look slightly squished, and it's just not very pretty =/

I hate being critical about stuff like this but if I have to look at it for another god-knows-how long, I may as well post my dumb opinion xD

It is. They just flipped her over so she's looking in the other direction.
