Wrong wolf?

Ok im getting freeking tired of being told by other people how i need to play my hunter or else. But THIS IS BULLS***!
So im in a PUG where as soon as I get in with my Loque this guy tells me I need to quit the party because he refuses to party with a BM hunter. Mind you this is a normal dungion, not like ICC. Anyway I tell him screw off and switch to my MM spec. When im in MM spec my go to pet is my tiger. Once again he freeks out and tells me to use a wolf. Once again I play nice and switch to my wolf. The model wolf I use is the same as what used to be in the humans starting area.
http://www.wow-petopia.com/html/skins/s ... imber.html
He then calls for a vote to kick me from the party. When the others ask why does he think i should be kicked this is what he says.
He has the wrong wolf, thats a newb model. Its weak. It needs to be one of the Northrend models
I was so shocked i didnt know what to say. Thankfully our tank said it best.
What are you F^^^in nuts? It doesnt matter they are all the same.

Aye he ought to have been kicked... there are better ways to request how someone else play. -_- It was good of you to be as patient!

What? A noob? That guy was spot on.
It's completely obvious that a Northrend model is far more powerful. With its humongous fangs that hang far below its already gaping mouth, the fact that it couldn't properly bite a squirrel is far superior to the normal wolf. Coupled with its starving body that could be shattered with a flick of the wrist, and its limp, it would be idiotic for any hunter to not own one.
You should be ashamed.

Oh wow......I am sorry, but I would not have stood for that level of abuse or stupidity. I'd have told him exactly where to stick it. And if we HAD gotten to the wolf comment, I'd have initiated a vote kick for the guy for blatant stupidity.

You know the sad part? He probably fully believed that.
I remember before I made a Hunter and did a crapload of research that I honestly thought "Those demon looking wolves and those glowy leopards must be the best pets, every level 80 hunter has one!" because I never saw an 80 without Loque or the Blighthound for the first... god, must have been month and a half before I saw an 80 with a Devilsaur and another with a Ravager.
Doesn't give him a right to be a jerk about it though.

Hm. I pull as high dps in BM as I do in SV, and it's usually top dps unless we've dps geared out in ICC stuff (which is more rare than you'd think, for some reason).
Honestly, at that first comment I'd tell him that the moment he pays my subscription fee I'll be glad to drop. Until then, he's welcome to leave. Clearly, you're way more patient with people than I am... (That's a compliment, by the way.

I've actually never had anyone give me sh... a hard time... *cough*... for being BM in a heroic. And let me tell you, I've HOPED someone would say something, because I work so hard to stay on par with those surv/mm pansies, and proving to someone I can do a good job despite their faulty opinion is always fun
The one time I've ever seen a complaint, I was in a random with my husband. I play a BM raider, and generally do 5-6k dps now in heroics (single target). My husband had been doing ~3k as MM/Surv. He's a bit careless about his class, so once he'd been top of the game at Naxx level he just stopped being competetive & learning, so he was gemmed & enchanted wrong etc (blue quality gems of the wrong type). I helped him out and he decided the best solution was simply to copy my character while I was asleep one night, meaning same gems & enchants & spec. He didn't ask about the rotation or glyphs, so when we went into this heroic, I was doing 5.5k dps as Big Red Pet and he was doing about 2.5k.
Anyway near the end of the run, some other randomer in the group said to my husband, "You should go MM, BM is bad for dps." I replied "I'm BM too, he's just bad."
What? It's true. Don't look at me like that.
People have preconceived notions and they stick to them, even if it means insulting someone playing a class they've never played. Or one they play but don't grasp. I've run into hunters at level 80 who are gemming int + mp5, parry, stamina, or putting Berserking on their melee weapons.
There's noobs, and then there's ignorant jerks. I don't mind someone making a mistake, or an incorrect criticism, if they're polite about it--we've all done it--but the ones who are jerks, well, tearing them a new one just about makes my day
I'd have replied to him, "This wolf is the Winterskorn Elite--the one that has a 2% chance to one-shot any mob it hits. Didn't you know??"

Ok, I've heard of people bashing hunters for not using a wolf for anything pve related, but using the wrong wolf model because northrend models are stronger?

Guess I better get rid of my ghost wolf because he's "weak" and get an ugly, overly common northrend worg instead since they are "stronger".
