Gesharahan respawn time?

I'm looking to tame this fine purple hydra:

And was wondering his respawn time in case he gets killed before I can get to him? I have Novi parked out there at the ready, but.

Apparently he has a spawn time of 17-25 hours, but that may be outdated.

It's not outdated considering it's Outland. Any Outland rare has a huge respawn timer. x.x;

he's not in outland-- he's actually in the Northern Barrens.... and I cannot wait to get him since I used him all over Beta myself

ok- you do NOT need to tame Gasharahan to tame Gasharahan.... let me explain... LOL
There is a low level quest-- at the end of it, the SAME model hydra is summoned... let that hydra EAT the guy you are escorting and tame THAT purple hydra, Vorsha the Lasher

Does it work for Alliance hunters? :/ I might log my Horde hunter over, start that and grab the hydra.

The quest is horde only, looks like-- but I'm sure one of us who are horde would be happy to help any other hunter get a purkle hydra ;D I know I will

Sure thing! I'm having my Hordie on FM do it, too. Look for Rainstorm-Feathermoon as well.

actually his timer is low now 1 or 2 hours": I tamed him, went inside WC to tame Trigore as well but he wasn't there, did 2 runs on random HC dungeons and when i came out of the cave 1 hour later he was respawned already. Got Trigore 2 days later after 3 hours of camping him from midnight to about 3 in the morning, by camping i mean doing HC and lfr while waiting for him to respawn, most hunters there log out and back on every 30 minutes at those hours as far as i could tell, but considering the sheer number of people there i was very lucky nobody logged on during my taming of either of the two hydras, so patience, luck and a good way to pass the time are good ways to get your hydra, gl on your hunt.
