Mixed meat is somewhat disturbing and unsanitary.

Everything about that place is Unsanitary :|

And wtf is up with the alligators? I've NEVER seen them sold whole like that before! I mean wtf? They can't be from farms, seriously, farms use the whole animal, they sell the meat and skin and from what I know, it's NEVER SOLD WHOLE like that because seriously wtf is someone going to do with an alligator skin? Sell it? Tan it? I doubt the every day chinese citizen knows how to turn a frozen lizard into a friggen pair of boots.

That just screams wasteful to me.

... is it also sad that I bet they sell Dolphin and Whale meat too? :|

The majority of the meat is not packaged and is not behind glass. The Chinese must have wicked immune systems because everyone is touching the meat and it's going to get everywhere and germs and gaahhhh
What on earth is "?"? Some kind of mystery meat sausage? /shudder

And there are live frogs and turtles they can just jump out and get all over food and eeewww

Amphibians can carry salmonella, as can reptiles. Anyone who has kept them knows you have to wash your hands after handling them. That makes the frog pen and the mixed meat all the more horrifying. And unpackaged ducks on a rack. *shudder*
I'm all for reducing packaging, but this takes it a little far. Keep in glass, under a case, wrap it in butcher paper. Not...huge pile of meat. Is it even cold?
And those poor little softshell turtles! I don't know what species they are, or if softshells are threatened/endangered/protected there, but softshells are a monitored species here and I hate to think of someone eating them! Some guys got busted not that long ago in a nearby "city" for selling softshells they caught out of the Missouri.

Probably, but they won't be healthy enough to keep as pets. More than likely, they're riddled with disease.

I'm locking this topic. Gaping at other cultures is not permitted here.

Also, I don't like pictures of dead reptiles and amphibians, or those who are intended to be eaten.
