Meet Gothmog, my new hydra!
It's so nice to be able to tame something I've been waiting years for!
497 ilvl BM hunter - it was also pretty challenging. I recommend giving it a shot. (i ended up bringing a paladin to help me, but i think it's actually doable without a friend, judging from my few tries)

grats on the tame! This guy is the first item on my list when i get back this Saturday. Few quick questions: how to you enrage him so that you can tame him? do you have to wait for the timer or dps him down to low health? also is he loud like the other old world hydras?

You dps him down to 20% (getting through his massacre is the hardest part, i just brought a holy pally along - on my friend's hunter i brought my warlock along to help and we just bursted him down to 20% before he casted it, 501 hunter and 513 'lock.) and he gains the "mortality" buff which allows him to be tamed.
He hasn't been too loud so far! I think they quieted up the hydras a bit. Not nearly as loud as Loque'nahak is.

So a 586 hunter shouldn't have an issue I'm assuming? LOL!
I'm willing to help people get their tames if you want, I can bring my resto shammy if someone wants to come along to help with my tame. PM me here!
EDIT: Scratch that, I hit hard and he dropped like a stone, went from 100 - 0 in about 3 seconds, FML oh well next week.

i was gonna say, 586 and you might have to watch your damage!
but yes, haha, a little careful damage control and you should have no trouble.

Right? I was laughing hysterically because I thought I wasgoing to have an issue. Now my only issue is screw the pet next time, just dps and tame.

I did that too. I prepotted on auto pilot and he was dead before I knew it.
