Ban'Thalos

Hi fellow hunters!
I was wondering how FAR up Ban actually flies. People say really really high, I'm just making sure that's right. I really want this pet hehe! Any information would be greatly appreciated!

He does fly very high up. There's a trick to taming him. There's a tree to the left of the shrine if you're looking straight on. You can perch right on the tip of that tree if you're careful. Use a small mount to try and line it up. Once you manage this, lay a trap right at your feet. Then mount, fly straight up, and take one pot-shot at Banny to get him to come after you. He'll get caught in the trap and presto. Otherwise moonbeam'll get you.

I added you a picture of the right tree
Ban'thalos is flying in a circle over the shrine in about doulbe height of the tree. So like Snow said, fly up on the tree (a hippogryph usually worked fine for me) and land on it. You will know you are in the right position when your "move down button" doesn't move you down anymore and your mount keeps hovering over the tree. Dismount, place trap, fly straight up (no left no right or you will fall to death) and pull Banny with a shot. You will fall back on the tree and he will land in the trap.

Make sure you've also done all the necessary quests in order to be in the phase where he appears (unless they removed that...) or you won't be able to see him.

They didn't. You still need to do all the shrines to see him.
