Tamed Chimaeron day after patch. Gotta love the hydra waddle .

Anyways I was doing a search on him, realize there was an alternate model for Chimaeron that is a pale teal color with golden accents and has a 3rd head instead of the arm. Didn't see it on the model viewer but wondering if anyone else had seen it.

I can only guess it was part of an early Cata beta build but I am not sure. It would be kinda neat to see this in-game but like the primal rylak model/mount may not see the light of day.

Wow, I never noticed that before, they are quite different indeed. The Eye colour is the biggest point of difference for me, but I'm not sure if this version is even in the files anymore. Though if anyone could find it, I'm sure Wain could

Er wow. I've never seen it in the files which makes me think it was removed early.

I have a copy of the Cata beta somewhere still. I wonder if it's in there...

Found it. So glad I kept that old copy of the folder. Yes, it was removed entirely and replaced by the the army-heady one.

Not only is it a different colour and has three heads, but it also has no stitches! It appears more like a proper beast, not a flesh construct.

It's a real shame it isn't available anymore! Lots of potential there.

Wow. that looks lovely he's extra spikey and I didn't notice the glow effects on the eyes and mouth but damn. Really wish it was ingame. can i haz both!

Correct me if I am wrong, in the lvl 100 UBRS there's a rare elite that share's Chimaeron's model that drops a battle pet called the Lanticorn.

Ah wow I really like that one. I think i prefer it over the one I have now. Its a shame they got rid of it, I never quite liked that extra arm the current one has. (Not to mention the arm will still fight the other heads so it looks it he cant stop hitting himself. ) maybe someday we will see it again.
