Basilisks lacking family ability?

Why are basilisks lacking a family ability now that 6.0 has dropped? They don't give a buff or debuff of any kind, it would seem. Is this intentional, or is their ability something that shows up after level 81, like cats? I wouldn't have asked, but I checked Wowhead, and did see a comment about them not having an ability at all.

Nope, they just got lost in transition. It seems that Blizz has just forgot about them :<
Which reminds me...

Sounds like someone needs to tweet - who is it? Muffinius? Is that our lurker's Twitter handle? If so, I'll give him a tweet about it, see if he can convince the devs to give them something, at least.
EDIT: Righto...it was Muffinus. Tweet sent, mentioning the problem. Let's hope that gets things looked into, huh?

Okay...heard back. Muffinus says it's not a simple fix, but they're definitely working on it! Though no timetable was given, I kind of hope they'll be able to get something worked out that can be patched in on WoD launch, so nobody casts their bassies to the side, only to have to race back out and camp/tame them again, once they see what buff or debuff they get.

not sure if it sould also be mentioned as lacking but direhorns pretty much lack a debuff or buff as well, their family ability is that very situational spell reflect shield
