So, she had her debut today.

Apparently their shop server team / hardware is of a quality consistent with their game server team / hardware, i.e. people who tried to be supportive and purchase in the first few hours were treated to waiting 9+ hours for her to arrive in their mail.

Sorry for the grumbles. I know it's for a good cause. It's just that on top of every other problem they've had lately, Blizzard clearly moved all of their servers to Struggletown. It's just everything combined is getting kind of winceworthy. It's a shame because the xpac itself is just amazing (IMO).

It's too bad so many people had to wait to get theirs... I didn't have any issue, I clicked the buy option and got it immediately (like 2 seconds) later.

Where I did have a problem is later yesterday evening, I could not summon the pet nor use the new mount, even though it showed I had had the pet at one point (I had named it). It didn't last terribly long, a few hours maybe, but not sure what happened there.

I'm surprised that it's not being offered as a giftable pet though. Given that it's the holidays and that it's a 100% charity pet, I did want to gift a couple but that isn't possible yet, or wasn't last I checked.

I bought it and it got queued for 4 or 5 hours before it finally arrived.

The Grinning Reaver (red Draenor reaver with a laughing skull mask) is also available now for $25, and you can get both Argi and the reaver in a bundle for $30 I treated myself to both and I absolutely LOVE them. Both of them. I thought the reaver would be horrible at flying but it's probably now one of my favorite flying mounts!

I just love the reaver flying animation It's like being on a bumblebee (minus the noise)... it's impossible chunky for flying, yet somehow it does. It's very cute

(BTW, if you're basing their flying animations on a certain FP in Gorgrond, don't. There's one there that is using swimming animations for flying for some reason, but that's now how the mount works).

As for Argi and gifting, it surprised me too, but I suspect it's more due to all their server screw ups rather than intent. My guess is they simply couldn't manage it at launch, which isn't surprising since they couldn't even manage to deliver them to people who bought own copies.

I haven't flown on one of the taxi reaver's before as I'm ally main this expansion but by their model, I was really worried they'd look really dorky xD They don't though which s a HUGE relief

Hopefully once they sort things out, they'll make it giftable. Holidays are still half a month away so with luck they'll get the kinks out of the purchase queue (I wasn't too worried when I was waiting for mine, I assumed they were flooded and the system was lagging.) and they'll be able to be gifted hopefully by the end of the week or on their usual patch-up/fix-up tuesdays

Argi is adorable! However, his pet battle moves are....disappointing to say the least.
