I know opinions will vary, yet is there a consensus as to what is THE pet to get in / for WoD?

For me, it will be Gara.

Gara. 100%.

Sporebat. couldn't help it!

Gara would seem to be the main "flavor" pet for BM hunters.

I know I'll be getting a riverbeast, possibly a rylak, new ravanger, teroclaw, updated raptor and definitely a Hydrake. I will probably not get gara on my main hunter, but might do so on an alt.

The Hydrake and teroclaw are probably the ones I am most excited for this expansion.

But with good reason. Gara is THE poster pet of 6.0. since she has the longest and most involved quest of any pet ever. Pretty cool. If any other unusual spirit beasty wolves were released I suspect they'll get their own feature times in later patches.

For me, I'll probably hold off on Gara until I can do the quest in my leisure. Instead I must get one of these lovely ladies:

I want the blue-black ji-kun skin more than I want anything else.
I'm excited for Gara, but i think that once it's out, pretty much every hunter will have her, haha

I have almost no interest whatsoever in Gara. Teroclaw chicks, however...

I'm very, VERY excited for Gara. I avoided doing the quest line on beta, as tempting as it was, so it can be fresh when I finally get around to it. The model won me over completely when I saw it in game, it's so gorgeous and basically my favourite shade of purple.

Other than that I have a handful of pets I'm looking forward to picking up, but I think Gara might just be THE one I'm looking forward to most since I already have my hydra and stag.

For me, it's a rylak. This rylak, specifically. And a Teroclaw Chick - non-flappy carrion birds! I just wish they came in black...

I'll pick up Gara, too, but everyone on the server will have her soon enough I expect XD

I will stick to my dinos, direhorn devilsaur and the new raptor models and the red mount tameable raptor, screw sporebats, and I'm not a big fan of gara..... I wish they would add a spirit beast that looked like hakkar, there is a dead one in zul'drak :3 and we have a spirit beast loa/demigod tame already so it isn't that lore breaking , still hoping for a skyscreamer tame as well

Gara was my biggest goal, got her last night. I really do enjoy having this pet, the colors on her are so pretty.

I am in love with the Outland Hydras-which is hilarious because I thought they were ridiculously ugly before now. Currently have the green, want to get the red as soon as I can.

The new Talbuk models are lovely-the tips of their tails look a bit funny if you observe them moving from behind. But I do like mine, he is named Fashionista and is already a hoot.

I hate to be a tagalong...but Gara for me too. I love her design and the way the shadows move on her. Khai's probably trading in her Skoll for Gara as the spirit wolf of choice at her side. Right now, she's shelved Skoll for a Frost Wolf and oh my GOSH I'm in LOVE with how these wolves move. Just wow. So yeah, Gara it's going to be. I'm saving that quest though. Taking my time through Draenor.

THAT said...other than Gara...

The pet for me is probably Tura'aka or Amaukwa, depending on which one looks better with Khai. I'm also in LOVE with Kil'uun...so I'm hoping he's the first flying pet that doesn't drive me nuts. Shame the tero chick didn't come in Kil's color.

Though... I would have killed to have the shot at this guy here.


(And well, obviously I'm taming a bunch of new models on anything else and trying them out, but you said THE pet to get and I still rambled. LOL)

My Riverbeast is named Howie. There is a pizza chain called Hungry Howie's and then there's the old game Hungry Hungry Hippos.
I tamed one of the green WoD hydras too and it's name is Helmsley. WWE fans will get the reference
Also got a Clefthoof and named it Cleavon.
I will be taming a Talbuk in Nagrand and replacing my Stag with it.

While I finally did get Gara...I was actually more excited for my hydra and rylak lol...but I am finding myself really liking the new wolf models (I think I'll really want a hook wasp too, that black one).

For me it was this guy, still need a name tho
