I tamed one last night. Hearted and logged of.
Today when i called it to my side i noticed that it doesnt have a running animation!
It runs very fast on its tiny tiny legs!
It also makes random boar noises when idle or following.

i belive i tamed a Coldsnout boar or sow.
I just tamed and hearted so not fully sure.
Ive posted a bug report in WoW about the lack of running animation.
Hopefully it will be fixed.

Also im curious if anyone have found a vocal on click pet? or just chatty pets in general.

The new boars use the animations of the Direhorns. The "run" and "walk" animations are the same. It's a bit saddening, but that's how it is.

ah. well i do hope they change it. cause it looks way silly.

its not really something they can change. that would include giving the boars an entirely new skeleton

Not necessarily; they could utilize the existing pig skeleton. I believe they didn't go that route since regular boars are not used as mounts whereas direhorns are.

Might as well use a skeleton that is used as a mount then make a whole new one.

I remember being faintly unhappy that the new boars would not use the original animations since I was always fond of the butt wiggle and sniff, but honestly the direhorn skeleton suits these guys so well! They've really grown on me and it just adds to their stocky, tough attitude.

I really, really miss the old animations. I really dislike the stutter run thing and I hope they fix it in the future when they have time.

While i agree it does suit them just fine when walking, idle and attacking.
The run just irks me so much.
I doubt i will keep the boar.
Shame. its such a good model.

I do agree the run looks broken, it is WAY too fast. And unfortunately it's doing the exact same thing with the boar mounts! So I'm pretty sure this is a bug they need to fix at some point.
