Are you giving your Garrison a name?

Hi guys.

I was on one of the WoW forums and someone posted a topic that caught my eye and got me thinking. Are you or have named your garrison? Some I've read named them for RP reasons or others I heard have made their garrison like their guild's base on Draenor. I've not come up with a name for Lightglaive's garrison yet and I plan to name the one that my Rinoa will live in I've just gotta get inspiration for it and be meaningful as I hopefully will be able to write about in the story that I'm trying to start in my head. (GO AWAY WRITER'S BLOCK!)

Anyway, what about you? I can't wait to read and maybe your thoughts might help me in writing my own storyline!

Yes! The moment my garrison hit level three the realization hit me like this: *GGGAAASSSPPPP!* "I name thee Dragonstone Keep!"
So the story behind it has several layers but it can be broken down into two basic reasons: me and my sister play a lot of minecraft together. its our thing. her player name is Shystone and mine is Sylviadragon. When we made our first castle we were mushing names together and drake/dragonstone keep came up as our favorite option. We later named our minecraft factions guild the same thing and it has become associated with a lot of good memories for me.

on the RP side of things, many of my characters have a lot of lore behind them and Sylvia has a little getaway called- you guessed it- Dragonstone keep. lorewise its a way out of the way place where she has used the wealth stored up from all of her misadventures during immortality to make a safe place to store her plunder, process new items and shelter whatever misfits she has become fond of.
So when i got my garrison I jumped at the chance to use it to fill that roll in her personal lore.
things get tweaked a bit in the game but basically after her favorite village was overrun during the iron horde invasion she had to fall back to her Keep, bringing with her a few old acquaintances she trusts to help her keep her goods safe.(while ensuring said acquaintances are kept safe under her protection.) Among these new visitors is her old Ex who left the shelter of Darnassus to help stem the iron tide. they are good friends but their views clash. Since hes kind of rusty on the whole fighting thing he often ends up running the financial and social end of the garrison while Sylvia runs off to shoot things.
I don't exactly follow wow lore so i kind of ignore that the garrison is set up in shadowmoon.

I have been having so much fun with my Garrison so far. its like its own game.

I think the name it's given is quite sufficient.

Wait... Garrisons can be renamed? Other than just "(Playername)'s Outpost/Fort/etc."? How?

I think they're referring more to a headcanon/RP name, not actually being able to rename the outpost in game.

I was thinking of naming mine Pigfarts after the wizarding school on Mars. XP

The headmaster is a talking lion!

Mine would be named New Lordaeron. I'm creative like that.

My family agrees they should have gone with Fort <Playername> instead of <Playername's> Garrison. It just sounds more permanent and important. It has since become my headcanon to call it Fort Tzivya. :)

...that's a bit dramatic holy crap bro

anyways I'm too lazy to think up a SUPER clever name for my garrison. If anything I'd probably just call it Black Wolf Garrison, a reference to a vague merc company/GW2 RP guild that some friends and I made up. I tend to steal the name for a lot of things, heh.

Haha, months ago I saw a fake "promotional" image that was mocking WoD, and for the garrison feature they used this image:
