Hey I was wondering if anyone has done Gold yet or had any tips? It seems pretty hard but others on the forums have done it easily!

We've gotten pretty close - about 200 off last time we tried and I read to basically farm mobs at the two gates and have a "rover" in the middle but still not enough. We always end up with the Iron Horde too because of the daily combos we've been getting. I heard the Bonti invasion is easier to rank up numbers? Would really like to get those mounts so any tips people had would be great!

We usually have a grp of 3 - 2x hunters, 1x Warrior or 3x hunters.

Botani is REALLY easy to get gold. My friend & I together managed 1.7k this week. We even managed 1.1k last week when he was only lvl 98 and I was 100.

I do find the other invasions ( at least those I've tried - Shadow council, iron horde & shadowmoon orc) a bit harder to get gold on. It seems Botani just has a ton of mobs that spawn that you can easily round up and aoe down for a ton of points, whereas mobs in say an.. iron horde invasion are a bit more scarce.

I haven't even had an invasion since 3 days after my Garrison was first built.

You have to kill enough of a certain enemy type to make it happen.

Do you have to wait for the daily Lupen or can you just go there and kill mobs?

You can kill mobs. It's gotta be the level 100 mobs though. Anything lower doesn't count.

Farming mobs for rep is what does it for most people. Sidenote, Iron Horde Invasion is currently said to be impossible or next-to-impossible to get Gold on due to a bug where the final points aren't being added to the score.

I got 786 both times I did Iron Horde.

farming rep mobs is a good way to get invasions. I was getting one pretty much every day. sometimes two a day. Botnai are by far the easiest one i have done so far. lots of extra objectives and huge groups of easy to aoe podlings.
i think the reason you cant get gold is because you are fighting the iron horde. Although i have heard a few claims of players getting gold from it, the majority consensus is that its bugged. I think i have run that one three times now and the best i could do with three 630+ dps going all out was about 818. things just don't spawn very often and there are very few bonus objectives. if you want gold the best advice i can give you is to get a different kind of invasion. if you join an arrokoa rep farm you should get a botnai one fairly easily.

general advice:
Have everyone use their body guards if they have them.
use your zone ability. it work in your garrison and summoning all those guards is a great way to quell an overwhelming wave.
you don't need a healer or a tank. (although i did get gold with a tank dpsing) you want max dps here.
your innkeeper will give you special items that you can use in an invasion if you are not sure you have enough dps. (it cost garrison resources)
after the scouting party is dead spread out. one person chill out near your crafting buildings/main gate. one person guard the back door/herb garden and one person sticks around the fountain.
large green or red dots (or other symbols) will show up on your map or you will find something with a big arrow over its head. these have priority over everything else. these are special mobs that give mega points when you kill/save them.
if your section seems fairly clear don't be afraid to run over and help someone clear out their section.
keep an eye on your buildings. objective mobs will attack them. at the end of the main round you get lots of points for defending your buildings.
if you don't have any friends/guildies who can do this with you, just list your invasion in the pre made customs tab. there are lots of players looking to get their weekly gold run.
gold is actually really easy and really fun to get. for some reason iron horde is just way,way harder than all the other invasions.

For two reasons, I don't think I'll be doing many of these. One, my guild only has 3 100's so far and getting all 3 on line at the same time and wanting to do anything together is a pain. Two, farming mobs has never been enjoyable for me.

Well that makes me feel better - we've done it 3 times and was only 200 off but it didnt seem to count the building bonus etc. Time to go farming Bonti mobs then!

I did Goren today for the first time and it's a pretty easy one as well, granted I was in a group of 3. Ended with a score of 1.4k if I remember correctly. Botani is still the easiest by far but it seems like Iron horde really is the hardest. Hope they fix it; otherwise I'll just avoid doing it and instead wait for another invasion for a chance at the mount..

So is one of the four mounts not a guarrenteed thing with gold? It's just a chance? I was kinda hoping it was just like a lucky dip lol!

No definitely not guaranteed. Neither is the gear.

Last week I got a 645 helm from the silver reward. But I've gotten gold twice now and neither of the epic rewards gave me a mount or gear. Just got some apexis and auctioneer parts (which aren't so bad considering I sold one for 12k )

good news everyone! iron horde has been fixed. I just ran it three times and got gold each time. We didn't clear it by a lot, so if you don't have good gear it will be a struggle still but there are way more mobs to kill. its still one of the harder ones but it is in now way impossible. good thing too, it seems to be the most common one to get.

I finally got an invasion. It was Iron Horde and probably a result of running the Pit assault. I did it alone for bronze and it was fairly easy. I also think I know now why I wasn't getting invasions. There was a bug in the game where progress towards them was getting reset every day. That bug has been fixed so the mob farming should be less necessary now.

Gah. I'm a bit annoyed after an ogre invasion yesterday. I invited a couple friends to help and started it up. About 2/3 of the way through, I got disconnected. After logging back in, we finished the invasion with a sorta lousy score due to my lil absence for part of it. I got the achievement for an ogre invasion and for doing one with friends. It wasn't until a bit later that I noticed the blue circle on my minimap indicating a quest objective. Mousing over it, it was the quest to start the invasion. That made me realize I'd not gotten any loot for the event. So even though I completed it, the quest was pretty much stuck.

In hindsight, it was dumb, but I just abandoned the quest. I should've put in a ticket I guess.

I'm annoyed that its a once a week rewards only thing not a once a day thing. My boy friend, our friend, and myself are sitting on invasions, waiting till Tuesday to do one and get gold together.

Unless they changed it recently (as in this week or the last) you actually loose your invasions at maintenance.

I held onto one a few weeks back as I already completed an invasion that week. I thought there was no reason to start the quest... It'd be better to just keep it so I could do it asap on tues.

But I logged on after the maintenance and the quest and invasion alert were gone.

So if I have any invasions after the first one of the week I'll just do it for the 50? Apexis.. Or because I feel bored enough lol.

I haven't gotten an invasion for awhile and ive been doing the daily everyday plus helping my husband with his...thats alot of mobs to kill without one!
