After getting my Gara at 94, I went to help others with the Void part. Turns out the boss doesn't even spawn if someone in there has her already. To test this, I abandoned mine, thinking that it would be just like in beta and I could just retame her.

Turns out that's not the case anymore. As soon as I abandoned her, the boss spawned on next kill. Me and the other two hunters downed him, and.. only two Garas spawned. I returned there afterwards to repeat the process multiple times and the boss just turned into a floating orb, stood there for a while and despawned.

I ended up having to make a ticket to have her restored. While talking to the GM, I asked if they could make a bug report. They claimed that it was working as intended and that if another hunter went through the process, I could tame that one. Which obviously had me worried, but the GM assured that a new Gara would just be spawned. o_O

Overall this worries me greatly, knowing that there's some bugs along the quest chain that might prevent you from ever reaching the end or even taming Gara. It's easy for me to have her restored, but what about those people who never had the chance to tame that single spawn of her? What of those who had their tame ninja'd?

Who goes in there with somebody else?

Good to know about that glitch for those who are helping others or playing together.
I'd do a bug report on that just in case. GM's don't always know just what is "intended" or not, so it's always a good idea to get the attention of those who do handle these sorts of things.

I'd guess social people who like playing with their friends, or enjoy having the extra help.

I think he was saying is how can anyone go in there if they're not currently on the quest? I never ran into another hunter on the quest while I was doing it (save one asking for help with the shadowberries). It's not like friends can join you unless they're doing it too...

Anyways, this sounds more like a bug. Perhaps put in a report just to be on the safe side.

Actually no. I meant anyone. You get more satisfaction out of doing it by yourself.

Sure, alone it's more satisfying, but it can also be a social thing. We had a Petopia event for taming her a week ago and we had loads of fun. Once you've completed it and gotten your Gara, you can still use the dagger at will to get back into the void. As long as you don't bring your Gara with you, it doesn't influence anyone else's ability to finish the void part.

Okay I get that. It's just that ,to me, the best parts of the game are the parts I do by myself. I've never been much of a socializer anyway.
