I wonder what it'll be; maybe a sprite like [Spirit of Summer] or the little voidwalker thing like the [Kirin Tor Familiar]

Awwwwww man!! I've always been super happy about my engineer-specific pets (i.e Lil'Smokey/Pet Bombling), then they made them available to everyone, which is lovely!
I hope they do this with this enchanter pet, maybe not right away, but somewhere down the line. <3 Can get my boyfriend to make me one, whatever it is! xD

there is already a bouncing skull companion pet that you can get in the dalaran sewers. I think he sells for around 45g

I vote for an enchanted mop and bucket that while standing still the mop would be in the bucket occasionly coming out to mop the area around it leaving a sparkle, and while moving the mop would mop the floor behind you leaving a sparkly trail, also while moving the bucket would float behind shaking and spilling water. Plus the mop would occasionly go back into the bucket for more water.
That would be an awesome pet.

Not really a new skin, but I thought it interesting that I was mousing over something called Bubble Bunny even though the item in front of me is called "something artifact".

I think everyone is forgetting the enchanting pet model is possibly already ingame. If anyone ever goes thru silvermoon anymore- specifically to the orb that lets you teleport to and from SMC/UC if horde, there's an NPC who chases around/after a tiny arcane construct. And from what she says, going by memory, it was basically constructed using enchants or some such deal.
And honestly I've always wanted that little bugger since I first rolled a belf.
