Okay, I know there was another thread about this, but it was from before they released the new blood elf model to the PTR.
I just wanted to share some screenshots of them, for those of you that are not on the PTR.
And I have to say, I'm totally in love with the new update! The facial expressions on these new models are just awesome.

I'm very excited for the updates. I love the new expressions... this one is my personal favorite:



However, this one I hope they change... because yikes.



I'm also pleased that the males are no longer curving their backs backwards as much (and that Kal's bow is no longer impaling his leg). And they finally fixed the floating shoulder armor.



I do have a few nitpicks that I hope will be changed before they go live (that I mentioned in the other thread); the male's mouth is sitting too close to his nose, making his expression constantly scrunched and duck-faced. It also makes his chin look larger than normal. (I don't know, looking at it more I can't decide if it's mouth placement or chin hugeness in general.) If it never gets fixed, well... Kalhoun is a dorkasaurus anyways, so it will fit his personality, but my snooty rogue won't be happy. Also, his skin color is too pale, but that will get tweaked I'm sure.

Looking forward to seeing all of the new face options.

are there other male B.Elf faces without those prominent creases on each side of the mouth?
those look like the "angry" model. is there a slightly less angry model?

I think thats just the unfinished model thing, but that's an assumption on my part.

Yeah, there's a variety of facial crease options, including ones that don't have any at all really. We've still got the facial geometry later too which will hopefully differentiate even more between the faces.

Overall I'm super pleased by the male revamp, as others mentioned there's just a few little nitpicks I wouldn't mind seeing changed (mainly the mouth/lips), but honestly I love them!

I wish I could say the same about the females but as they are now I'm really disappointed.

Hmm, I don't think it's necessarily the gap between the nose and mouth that's off; I think it might be the shape of the mouth itself? The corners of the lips/mouth are up-turned, which may be giving him the "duckface" appearance. If the corners of the mouth were a little more neutral/down-turned, I think that would help with the issue a bit. It also may be that the chin is a tad too large. And I could be mistaken, but the lip size also seems a bit small in relation to the other features. Like, he has normal eyes and a masculine nose and chin, and then these tiny up-turned lips.

Overall, I really like the changes. I still think the females look really good; their elongated features create a more elegant look, in my opinion. But, that's just me.

Yes, I think you're right too. The proportions of the mouth and chin seems to be the problem with the males.

Overall I think the females look much better. I like that they have a slightly fuller figure, and, to me at least, they look more noble and graceful. Except for how far they tilt their heads when doing their idle animation, that looks seriously wrong, but hopefully Blizzard will correct it . Early days and all that.

naw never made blood elfs because the males are like vanity in smurphs. the females reminds me of our next door who would play britney spears for 5 years of highschool, 5 days a week at 4am constantly..

lol that moment where you hate bloodelfs in general. they are creepyer then ever with that update..

Meanwhile, Devlin... didn't fare as well. The hair's not dark enough and his face doesn't look as suave.

Your warlock looks fantastic! However, I will agree that it seems that the males still need a little bit of fine-tuning.
