Hello All,

I am 6 month's along now and the BF and I are pretty stumped for baby names this time around. We're pretty sure it's going to be a girl, at least that's what they told us at the last Ultra sound

We've looked through baby name sites and books, but nothing is really popping out at us. So I am hoping the diverse community here might have some nice, unusual or unique names suggestions for a little girl.

We are hoping to avoid the "popular" names, or names from "popular" shows (dear gods no frozen names!!!!) as well as avoid names starting with "M"...we already have 3 in the house with "M" names...and that's confusing enough!!!

So I am hoping that maybe the community here can provide some nice suggestions for a little girl

I've always been fond of the name Rowena.

If i had been able to have kids my baby girl would be named Shahanna Rose. Its a unique name and i love the sound of it; though it might not be for all

Other names i also like are

Henrica - an old Danish name which is hardly use which makes it unique.. my second choice of a daughter name

Abigail - i looove the character Abby in Ncis.

Anne - also a BIG fan of Anne of Green Gables

Laura - fan of the BOOKS regarding the little house on the prairie .. hate the tv serie as it doesn't follow the books.

Angela - as i like her in Bones

Camille - same as above

I especially like a couple mentioned above, Rowena and Laura. I'm also fond of a couple of really old traditional ones, Catherine and Rose.

I would name my daughter Katharina Freya (would be Catherine Freya in English), Freya after the Norse godess. But I also like the suggested Rowena a lot! And Amelie (Emely) is nice too!

Penelope..could call her Penny for short.

Other names I like are Bronwyn, Rhiannon, Lucy, Lorelei, Carol, Alice (could call her Ali).
