I tried myself to find this fellow already - which pretty much amounted to me blundering around Ashran and being a free HK to any Alliance that spotted my, trying to Camo my way along and not bother anyone.

Can anyone tell me how to get to the Amberlight Cavern, so that I can go directly there instead of going into Ashran for another exercise in frustration, please?

The entrance to the mines/caves is right by your faction's PvP base in Ashran. I can't point to exactly where, but it shouldn't be too hard to find. You have to enter the BG zone and become PvP but you don't need to wander out into the main area (except of course once you're down in the caves. Once you're down there it's quite a wander to get to Amberlight but it's not too difficult. Good luck

Yay . Glad you found them . I was really confused when I first went there on the ptr because the entrance is nowhere at all near the worms on the minimap. At least on the ptr there was nobody to pvp me but it must be a lot more difficult on live.

I will cheerfully say that Camouflage helps a whole lot at avoiding pvp. Once I sussed out the right way to go, I didn't have any problems at all.
