I tried using WMV for the first time, downloading their beta for Warlords.

I think I did alright.

Thank you! Might open a sig shop or something if I get good at it. Is there a way to not have that teal background and just have it transparent?

In WoW Model Viewer? You can set the background to any colour you like, including white, in the settings in the second menu. (Sorry using OS X at the moment so I can't check the name. I think it's "View"?)

Unfortunately you can't save any custom colours you make at this stage. They reset every time. I have submitted a patch to fix this but it will have to wait until after the 0.8 release is final before new stuff gets integrated.

Blah damn. Yeah I saw the color thing. I was hoping for a transparent one.

Oh wait, I see what you mean. Sorry.

Normally to get a transparent background you'd save the image in .png format.

However the transparency part of that is broken at the moment. It's scheduled to be fixed in a later build but may be a while yet. I think he wants to get this 0.8 release finalized first and then will go back to other stuff. Once that's over there's some stuff I want to get into it because I need it for Warcraft Mounts and Petopia.

I'm not sure what graphics software you use. I use Gimp because it's free. If I need to make an image transparent I usually save the shot in WoW Model Viewer with a background colour that is quite different to any colour in the model. Then in Gimp I use their "colour to alpha" setting in the layers menu, and set it to the background colour. That should make the background entirely transparent without (hopefully) affecting the model part. But perhaps you already knew that stuff.

I use Photoshop CS6. I usually just cut out the background, but if there's an easier way than that, I'd love to know how.

I'm just thrilled they've been updating it for WoD.
