on a sever I use to hide from "can you tank blah blah blah?" or "We need your dps" I I love healing on this toon as it is awesomely easy. Even in BRD or DM it's cake healing there. My philosophy is to level as the spec you plan on ending up as so you have a better understanding on what you can do. Here is the problem. This is the only toon I have on the server, and I can not affourd dual spec yet. Does anyone have any advice for when I hit 58 and have the hellish task of leveling in outlands?

You could dungeon level. You get the experience you need to level and the practice you want to heal. Or find a person to grind with.

And after you get to OL, you'll be able to afford dual spec in no time.

Yeah especially if you have Mining and or JC it seems, on Bloodhoof or any server ore usually sells for a load of gold, gems it varies server to server.

But Embront on Bloodhoof earned up 2k gold nearly from outland ore and gems, and ofc trash blues.

I agree with the dungeon leveling, that will be the smoothest way to go unfortunately. BG leveling too would be good as Resto Shaman are great in PvP. Leveling as Resto is painful. I shelved my Shaman from TBC because while I loved healing with him, questing was just painful and I didn't have the money to constantly respec back and forth.

Now that dual speccing is in, getting that should be your absolute first priority, just so you have a DPS spec that can get you through quests quickly.

Once you get to Outland, healerqueues are instant in my experience, so that would be the quickest way to do it.

I'm leveling a resto shammy atm, and just got to Outlands. I tried questing as a resto a bit in tanaris when my Recruit-A-Friend zoomed ahead of me a bit...It's painfully slow. Running dungeons in your situation is probably the best bet (I say your situation as I have dual talents as this character is on the same realm as my main), or you could just do quests with a friend of the same level and push rested experience into the next levels bar and then run instances so the xp you would earn will be better then dungeon running "feeling normal".

My shaman is a miner/JC so liek you said gold shouldn't be an issue once I get around to farming ore to get his skill up. Since with that I should be able to dual spec quickly should I go with enhancement or elemental seeing as my main spec is resto?

Nas has gotten to level 74 almost purely through the dungeon finder as resto. I still don't have enough gold for dual spec, but I've been *cough* funding my hunters' stables and such instead.

I'd recommend elemental as an offspec if you'd like overlapping spellpower gear, but enhancement if you don't mind building a completely different one for more efficient soloing dps.

The dps spec will merely be for questing so it really doesn't matter to me. Though I imagine it'd be easier to get an elemental set then an enhancement set.

This, because you'll be able to have sp/crit/haste pieces overlap. Your elemental set will just have hit pieces rather than mp5.

Enhancement gear is basically hunter gear minus arp.

Yeah, dungeon-whoring is the way to go.

But with the gear you have, pretending your elemental as you quest shouldn't be that bad.

When I go through OL, I usually get the [To Hellfire And Back] achievement, as well as half the quests in Nagrand, and most of the Hellfire/Coilfang/Auchidoun dungeons.

... I Usually get Hellfire, Zangar and Nagrand. Granted, Zangar and Nagrand are possibly two of my favorite zones in the game, so that's prolly why. =)

Resto for both shamans and druids are quite difficult to solo level with. You'd be better off leveling with somebody and healing them while they tank.

True that would help alot but it's a toon I don't play that much, and he isn't even in a guild, and I don't know anyone on that server. Silvermoon is a rough server. To be honest the only reason he's on that server is because it was up when my main server was down, and I made him just to kill time. Since then though I have really come to enjoy healing as a shaman.
