Can you tell me(I never had a priest) Do priests need Attack Power or was he just a dick?

No. Priests, regardless of spec, need a certain amount of spell power. Attack power affects melee and ranged physical attacks, not magical ones.

AP only promotes physical power, thus classes that either use melee or ranged ar ethe best candidates for AP. I know that rogues, hunters, and druids (depending on how you spec) will do, and I guess warriors, too, even though they prefer strength.

Well, it's like the warlock I went to RFK with that rolled for and won mail and leather armor and he cannot wear them.

No two ways about it: casters DO NOT need AP. Ever.

AP is for rogues, ret/prot pallies (prot for threat), kitty and bear druids, hunters, death knights, warriors, and enhance shammies.

Priests, mages, warlocks, holy pallies, resto/ele shammies, boomkin and trees need SP.


That being said, he was probably just not aware of stats. At lower levels, a lot of people just play it by ear and think a blue is always better than a green, that kind of thing. I sincerely doubt he was griefing you. (Unless he was all in heirlooms. Having a level 80 that runs heroics or BGs enough to buy gear for alts has no excuse for not understanding stats!)

Same ordeal for the rookie mistake of thinking a purple is better than a blue before reading the stats.
