Im thinking this is just a joke because the starting pet is a mechanical chicken, so yeah....

I didn't even notice the pet. Would be awesome if Gnomes can tame mechanicals.

Not interested in gnomes at all but this is long overdue; there really isn't any reason that a gnome shouldn't be able to be a hunter Though I admit they'll look a bit comical next to their huge pets.

Am I the only one NOT liking the idea?
Will the have pets way to big for them or will they scale down the pets to a ridiculous size?

If gnomes can tank gigantic bosses I don't think it's that big of a deal to have big pets.

Letting other people have fun isn't hurting anyone even if I won't be able to take them seriously, lol.

Gnomes are all about the ridiculous size difference They're not meant to be taken too seriously. I think it will be amazing. But also, a lot of mecha pets that currently exist aren't all that huge. Maybe they'll be able to "tame" the mechanical bear cub and cogblade raptor and fluxfire feline

Not sure how Blizz would make mini battle pets into hunter pets.

Pretty simple, you'd just need new beast NPCs using those skins. If the robochicken is more than a starting pet and is an actual NPC, that would be the same way.

I think stuff like squirrels and rabbits are a bit of a stretch... but considering they're getting a chicken (unless that's only temporary) I guess nothing will surprise me.

Personally I'd much rather them add some full grown mechano bears, raptors and cats, and let us tame the mechanostriders too.
