Does Legion look more "instanced" than previous expansions?

my impression is that there is more stuff that absolutely must be soloed, that you can't group with others to get through.

we have separate class lodges, so a hunter and a warlock can't meet up there.
we have distinct quest chains for our artifacts, so it doesn't look like a warrior might help a priest and vice versa.

Or is this simply a false impression I'm getting from the videos I've seen?

I have friends with whom I enjoy questing, and I also dual-box, but so far I get this worrying feeling that a lot of Legion will not be group-friendly (other than dungeons) unless you're with the exact same class as yourself.

If you are watching videos of the Artifact introductions, then yeah that may give an impression of overly instanced since Artifact intro quests are solo Scenarios (from what I understand). The class halls are communal to the classes, so there's definitely more instanced places in that regard.

I'm not in alpha so I can't speak to questing and world stuff, but the inclusion of world events from the Class Hall mission table makes me think those are open. Dalaran is mainly open, except for the rogue order hall and i think maybe something with the center tower may be mage specific. Not sure though.

Its an interesting observation though.
