Hey guys, this is a little bit of a segue from another topic, but off-topic enough from the original to start a new one.

Below in the current "New" Bestial Wrath effect on the Alpha in it's glorious Pinkness :)

Thanks for posting pics! :)

But I'm really dismayed with the new effect. I mean, I was already sad hearing it was pink, but it seems to have made your wolf slightly transparent too. I'm not sure what direction they're going with on this one o_O For an expansion that's featured around "class fantasy" and trying to make specs more diverse, I'm not sure why they're messing with what is one of BM's most iconic abilities to be so... soft.

Fingers crossed it's a WIP for a new animation or effect down the road, cause pink ghostiness isn't invoking "wrath" to me at all :(

Bestial Wrath? More like Bestial Flamboyance.

I hope the ANGRY and RED version comes back. Or at least make it like the highly downgraded Incarnation for Feral Druids (bloody pool below the model).

Can't say I like the change. :(

Since it's probably temporary it doesn't bother me at all.
Even if, nothing wrong with pink for me. You can wear/be pink and still kick ass

Don't be too worried ya'll, remember it's alpha and there's lot a time for change

It's not really an improvement. I've never been fond of just slapping a 100% red filter on the skin. It looks really bad on some pets, and considering the art that goes into other abilities, it's kind of lackluster. I hope this pink is a work in progress, because it's like 3 lackluster effects.

I'd prefer to see something like a red version of the "moonglow" effect. It wouldn't mess up the skin, but it would convey a sense of fury.

Hrm, yeah not really feeling it at the moment, but I'm leaning (or hoping) toward it being a work in progress. I definitely agree that the current red filter is a bit dated and could do with some visual improvement, especially if we're going to be using it more. Here's hoping they'll end up with something cool looking to convey that wrath.

Looks like an experiment to me. Like changing how the effect is overlaid on pets to make way for something more snazzy later.

We can hope, right?

I have to say I agree, it's just not very impressive. Hopefully it's just int he early stages.

I like the direction it's going, not sure if overly obvious but both the pet AND the hunter get the current all over effect (that was added in MoP)......

eg.
Image

.....it's just very very faint red (pink) tinge. That and the pet grows much bigger where then hunter does not.

I also like the suggestion (Xota made) of not making it just all red per say, just bumping up whats there. Maybe even adding not just an all over effect but and additional "Anger" effect too.

The new effect for the fury warrior is pretty cool and could work quite well.

Just add a little here and a little there, and it would make the world of difference....

Bestial Wrath indeed!

I could definitely live with this. Now that looks like a bestial wrath! :D

SB I *love* that idea! Pair that with some glowing red eyes and I think it would be perfect. :)

also...

Now I only gave the "Angry eyes" to the hunter as they actually have the tech to actually do that, but they don't have visual markers/tech to identify the eyes on every pet in every family sadly :(

Nice! And you're absolutely right, I hadn't thought of that, but it's a shame because that would be a great effect I think to convey that sense of bestial wrath. Something like these guys:
Image
But either way I am really liking that red effect you did and I can only hope they're still working on it. :)

Oh I hear you, as soon as you mentioned the eyes I thought of the hunched kittens straight away #drool, but then thought.... ummm what about Worms, and Shale spiders, Hydras, etc. Can't remember ever seeing a marker for them :|

If they could go and identify/add a marker to all pet eyes, that would be so spectacular, I can totally imagine a BW Devilsaur tearing across the battle field in your general directions.... *Just a little bit of pee

-------------------- UPDATE! --------------------

Also, small update from Celestalon

  • Bestial Wrath making you partially transparent is a bug.
so as most guessed, still a WIP :)

so what you did was perfect! xD

Glad to hear that it's a confirmed bug! Not that it's surprising. It's just nice to know. :)
