Step One: Get the Hysteria Buff from a player with Dark Thoughts (the Dreadlord thingy from the invasion event). This lets you attack friendly players and npcs. It only lasts 10 seconds so you have to be quick!
Step Two: Get a summon to the Isle of Thunder. I used my Warlock, my recruit a friend account lowbie and my Priest friend to summon myself there.
Step Three: Quickly tame one of the Direhorns before the buff runs out.

This all came from a random idea I had while playing the beta, and I'm glad it worked.

Edit: Also worth mentioning you get a 30 minute debuff after you get the Hysteria buff put on you that makes you immune to another use of it. The debuff can be removed by dying. Also fixed the spelling mistake in the subject. Oops!

Edit: Apparently the Hysteria Buff was hotfixed to no longer work outside SW/Org

What about the hyjal bear cub in Mount Hyjal?

What about the Dire Wolf in the Hyjal instance? It's considered friendly and tamable.

Ten seconds is not enough time though, how did you do that? Tame is 8 seconds, things turn friendly again when your Hysteria buff falls off, and there's also load screen lag.

EDIT: I just saw a guy tame one on Isle of Giants. He was Marksmanship, so it despawned as he tamed it, but wow. I need to find people to do this with on Alliance.

This wolf here is tameable, would fall under this, and has a diving helmet.

Just recently grabbed Dotty with this fun trick. Doesn't retain the tiny size, sadly. Still fun to say I stole an orphan's only friend.

I've been pestering the crap out of my friends to help, but none of them care for glitch/trick tames like this. "What's the point?" is all I get.

We're looking for someone with Dark Whispers on them - if you have them, hit us up! Trying to start a chain-taming.
