I recall some years ago there was a site that listed the least most tamed pets out there at the time, and was wondering if such a site still exists today? I've just class changed a priest into a hunter and have made it my mission to fill his stables with all the pets and skin types that are the least loved.

Anyone help me out on that?

It seems that is up to date as of Cata. I would love to see it updated to include all pets but the sheer amount of user data required, that'd take a while!

Kinda surprised by some of those so near the end to be honest, I always thought that gold beetle and orange tarantula were cool...

There was a different site that had stats for all the hunter pet skins, among other things, but I don't have any of my old bookmarks anymore....hmm, maybe I can go through some of my old posts here to see if I linked it...

The one hosted here is based on user input from the voting (from what I understand). I would love to see a dump of Armory stables, but that would really only tell us what people have tamed. Doesn't really reflect popularity in terms of most used pets. I'm sure many have stabled pets we rarely use (some of my rarer pets fall into this, don't use much but too hard to retame if I ever want again).

Technically we as a community could do this informally in a thread if we could get enough people to participate/vote.

As for the rest I'm unsure how to get an Armory dump of pets in the active stable but that would be most ideal. The one major problem with that (even if we could) is that Armory pet data don't include the pet appearance so if it's an NPC with multiple possible colours we couldn't tell which the hunter was using. I requested this info be added a long time ago, along with minipet appearances (so WCP could tell which colours of a minpet you have) but nobody implemented it

Wain, an updated list would be awesome, though I can imagine the work involved to get the data. But the old list can still, in my opinion, be used to gauge what type of pets most people tend to gravitate to (as can hanging around Trueshot Lodge for a bit. On my server it's downright swarmed with runesabers at the moment )

Ahh, I do miss perusing that old pet ranking from the original site. It was mostly interesting to see which pets were the most popular and which were the least. It would be super cool to get something like that back (but understandably time consuming!)

Man look at those "least popular" looks make me really want an updated tarantula model. I love the looks of tarantulas but their model is still very chunky and vanilla. They need to get some of that bear love and just get a revamp across the board I think.
