Apparently they're back! The PTR notes shows them as spawning with world quests and apparently they will be a mount too!

According to the quests' descriptions, they apparently are an invasive species. Where do they come from? Are they Weavil's creations? Or a native species of another island?

Hopefully they're tameable!
I'm confused as to where they could be invading from, too. It'll be interesting to see. Maybe there's an "Isle of the Falcosaurs" that we haven't seen yet.

I see the mount will be another old school "Grow it from a baby" type mount. Neato

Interesting. Would be curious to see if any make it to tamable status.

Much excite! I know they're a bit odd, but I welcome any new/different things at this point.

I love these! I wasn't paying attention for their original appearance, I don't think. But I'm glad they're coming back, regardless. Raptors should have feathers. I dearly hope I can tame one!

Strange because my only gripe with these was that they had beaks. I'm all for raptors having feathers but not beaks. I'd have to tame one and see if it continues to bother me. (positive thinking the become tamable)

There's still some pages of them on WCM:

They'd been datamined originally pre-Legion but then were removed, and now they're coming back I guess!

Thank-you Veph.
It sort of reminds me of the young Teroclaw hunter pet, which I am particularly fond of.

I can upload some pics later but they are up on the PTR right now but sadly untamable currently. They are always in the area and sometimes a wq will pop up there. The quests so far reward Warden rep.
From what I have found:
Bloodgazers- Azuna, right by the pvp area in the very top left corner of the map. Right down from the flight point.
Sharptalon- Val'sharah, right above the druid hall along the coast, the eagle fp will help you get there easier.
I'm guessing that the teal ones are in Stormheim and the white are in Highmountain but I could be wrong.
For the mount you need to find and raise a mini pet version of the raptors to 25 and have quests like the Venomhide mount chain. What I have noticed is the pet will come from an NPC called "Orphaned <name>" and will need to be found. I combed through Azuna and have found nothing so far but I am going to try either looking for nests to click on or another zone. I hope they become tamable but if anyone wants to help on the PTR feel free to go exploring.
You can also look in the minipet journal for the cute hatchling pets too!

Did you happen to notice whether or not they have diets? If they at least have that, then there's hopefully a chance that they'll be flagged tamable at some point? I'm holding out the same hope for those cute owl..cat....things.

When I was checking the Bloodgazers I didn't see a diet but that could be due to the PTR having just came up with the new stuff to test. I'll be going back to the nests later so I can go and check more colors if you want.
I don't see a reason for them to not be tamable since there are so many of them around. I'm hoping for the owlcats too.

Nah, not needed unless you really want to! I'll assume that it's just really early and hasn't been added in yet, if they make them tamable at all. I will keep my fingers crossed for future PTR builds. :3 Thank you, though!

Personally, I think they're ugly as sin. But It'd be a terrible shame to put these in as mobs, and not make them tamable when so many people wanted them. They'd fit very well with raptors (Or one of the bird families maybe?).

For me they're kind of so ugly they're cute.
Definitely agree if they do become tamable should probably be in raptor family. They seem more raptor than bird of prey

Alright so, I went back there and heres what I've found:
Bloodgaze(Red/black)-Azsuna, Challiane's Terrace flight point, they are right beside the pvp area on the shore below the cliffs.
Sharptalon(Green)- Val'sharah, on the north shore above the Druid class hall, they are right along the edge.
Direbeak(Teal)-Stormheim, right behind Halls of Valor along the shore.
Snowfeather(White)-Highmountain, I still haven't found where these guys are yet.
I am also still on the lookout for any of the Orphaned ones for the mount, and haven't found any lol. Each nest area also has several 110 elites that roam and a big 111 mini boss matriarch that has a +50% dmg bonus. The nest keepers will also get this bonus if babies are killed around them. I attached more screenshots so that I wouldn't bulk up the page.
