My favorite pet for this xpac is gone.

Fel-green spiny basilisks from the tameable mining spawn have been swapped to the olive-green ones. Even stabled/owned ones.

Just thought I should let people know.

The first thing I did when i got to 110 was beg mining guildies to come farm him out for me...

I didn't have this colour myself but this is so sad. I'd be heartbroken if a pet I'd been using was changed on me suddenly. I wonder what their reasoning is for taking it away.

What?! It took me forever to get Felbane (my felslate basilisk). What the actual flub?

Oh damn. I didn't have this one myself, but I'd be heartbroken if my desired/tamed pet that I loved changed like that. He was so purdy. for all the broken hearted basilisk lovers

Did the Basilisks change color and if so where can I get my old Basilisk back?

I logged in today and found my new Legion Basilisk had changed from Purple to Olive-Green. It was the Basilisk that was found in a cave under Black Rook Hold (Leygazer I think). Did all of the Basilisks change? Or just a few of them? (Some people said that the fel-green one was gone too). Can I get the purple one back? Some help would be nice as I don’t like the Olive-Green ones. My hunter is only level 103 so I can’t go into the high areas yet. Please help and/or explain as to why this happened.

The ones near academy in azsuna used to be purple as well but are now olive... I don't know what the reason is. :/

Well crud, guess who's abandoning her basilisk later? I don't really care for the olive ones, and was pretty excited to nab the dark green when I did. Such a bummer.

Huh, you're right, my purple basilisk is olive now too. :/

...I'm starting to suspect something may have been an unintentional bug, all of the basilisks on wowhead are showing up as the olive colour in their 3D model.

Potentially good news? It seems that ALL basilisks are now the olive colour, and I can't imagine that's intentional at all. So I have a feeling this is just some sort of patch bug and hopefully it will be reverted. Even the Ley basilisks that should be purple are now olive and it makes no sense.

EDIT: Double checked, and the orange and grey ones are also olive now. This absolutely has to be a bug, so crossing my fingers we'll get our colours back soon!

Really? So we may get them back with a patch update/server reset? Because I don't want to have to run all over the Broken isles to get my basilisk back.

Possibly! Every legion basilisk model has been changed to the olive colour in 7.1, so I can only guess that they'll fix it...at some point.

I made a post in the Bug Report on Blizzard's WOW forum so maybe someone will see it?

If so I assume it's a problem within the model itself. It sounds like someone has switched its texture to use an internally-defined skin name, rather than one from an external file.

Well the forums are on fire right now (more so than normal) about this patch. Seems skills/icons have gone missing, undocumented nerfs, and multi-crashing is happening across the board.

It's almost like they swapped in the wrong build entirely :/

Yeah, I pulled out my ley basilisk and... yup, olive green.

Something, somewhere has gotten garbled. So don't release those muddy lizards just yet!
