So sad, no unicorn tames planned

I was scrolling through the Legion Dev Q/A and found a question many of us have put to Blizzard lately.
Will Hunters ever be able to tame unicorns in Legion (Val'sharah horses)?
Something that may come in the future, no immediate plans.
So bummed. At least they answered but so not the answer I was hoping for.
Do they ever lie to cover up surprises?

Yeah, I remember that one about "we prune abilities so it would be easier to balance stuff" and "BM Hunters are in a good place, we won't change them much".
Gotta say, I was in for quite a surprise, all things considered ;D
I think they will be tameables, but for some reason have a feeling it won't be before next xpack hits.

Which is a real shame. This (along with other beasts) makes no sense why they shouldn't be tamable. I mean. We can tame a pile of rocks called a shale spider, a stone quilen, "gem" cats, we've obtained the knowledge and ability to have nano technology infect a mechanical construct to have it follow us faithfully but a sabercorn is WAY beyond our comprehension.

I'd love if they made the unicorns a reward for the artifact skin that unlocks with the class "challenge." Like, give hunters an item that enables the taming of the unicorns as a quest reward w/ the artifact appearance much like the direhorn item.
Make the unicorns a badge of honor that you know how to play hunter well. (Since the unicorn mounts are "prestigious")
