So while in org on my mule char I saw the oddest thing....anyone tell me how they are doing this or what it spells?

It's a gold spammer. They started doing that when players with mammoths interfered with their dead body on the ground spam. No one go to that website, btw. It's definitely not safe.

It's an add for a goldfarmer site. They do stuff like that sometimes.

Yeah, that particular one has been popping up really often lately in the major cities. Looks like the one in your screenshot is missing some orcs so one letter isn't really legible.

They start off in front of the AH on the ground, then at some point they jump up in the air, then they fly over towards the bank area.

/sigh They sure stay creative with their adds. >_>

At least it's more amusing(and more easily ignorable) than Trade spam!

I haven't seen it on Ysera much lately. After they broke the death hack the owners of the site would just lay the toons down, so some players started putting down cooking fires, I think? Burned them which made them jump up?

Anyway, I really wonder what goes on in the heads of people that do go to that site.
"Oh look at that, they hacked the game to spell out some url! Let me go to that site, I'm sure it's totally safe!!"

These url-spammers are the same people that hack the game to scale mountains and mine underground. Assholes, the lot of 'em.

They also fly lv 58 Deathknights in starter gear around storm peaks.

With no flying mount.

Anyways saw THOSE ones in the screens on embront in Bloodhoof, not seen them myself on hellscream tho. But have been alot of farmers, made me give up even a dream of a chance for taming Aotona on Rosalyn :/

Repeat your ticket for that. If they are interfering with your gameplay, you have a valid complaint. Keep pressing the issue.

Repeat your ticket for that. If they are interfering with your gameplay, you have a valid complaint. Keep pressing the issue.

I agree with Slickrock, don't let the GM get off with a lazy response. They're there to provide service to make your game time better, so if they're not coming through, they're not doing their job. It happens from time to time, though I must say almost all my tickets have been resolved really well.

I remembered hearing something from one of my guildies in Madoran a long time ago (I wasn't there btw) that in Org he was seeing floating dead bodies that each displayed a letter.

If these gold spammers want to make some kind of message to spread, they oughta draw a pentagram in the ground. Greedy devils.

I have only ever seen them on the ground, this is the first I've ever seen in the air. @_@

Happened on my realm a couple of times. I need to get my Piccolo of Flaming Fire out next I see this. =P

For the body spam in capital cities, if you file a ticket with the words "Corpse Spam" or "Body Spam" in the subject or body of the ticket, letting the GMs know where and what server they're doing it on...those keywords are watched for and those tickets are shunted to the cleanup crew for very prompt attention.

As to the farmbots/mining hackers - it's not that Blizzard doesn't care. It's that once you've reported them, they tend to watch the hackers and analyze the program they're using so that they can break it the next time they patch, or add it to the Warden list. So it may be frustrating, but keep reporting. Blizzard can't break the hack programs if you don't.

Usually I'm all 'Arthas is flinging corpses into Orgrimmar again, please help GM!' usually get a good humored GM about it to boot too. But hey if they're looking for those two specific words then I'll give it a go from now on.

I saw that in Org on Nesingwary, just as I logged. I thought I was seeing things and when I got back in it was gone.
Also, could someone explain farmbots to me? How is that possible? And how do you know it's one?

It's a script/program that controls your character for you. One can set it up to run about within a certain area. It will target mobs, kill them and loot them, possibly skin them. People use them as a way to level/collect loot while afk. They become obvious in how repetitive they are. I suppose you can set them up to use certain abilities and at certain levels of health they will heal back up. They're easy to kill though I have seen that they will run back to their corpse and heal up again. If you can't kill them you can always "grief" them. If you follow them around and kill everything in sight of their path they'll just run about it over and over until something they can kill is targetable. :p

Oh I love griefing them in the worst ways possible when pvp flagged. Ran into a bot that was pvp flagged, a paladin. As evidently paladins were the flavor of the month farm bot for rhinos around warsong hold. Mainly alliance to boot too. So come across a flagged player, and sit and watch him a bit, pondering. As normally I'm not a ganker.

But i poked. I emoted. I actually landed infront of him. There was no fear, no begging, no fleeing, he didn't even stop to target me. He just kept farming Rhinos without a care in the world.

So I ganked him.

Over and over and over and over, before the bot finally gave an alert or something and a person took over as he tried to 'fight' me, but he was so bad at it. First he tried to kill my ghoul, when Vaek was at the time unholy, but just had ghoul stun him, had ghoul huddle, then deathgripped him to me, froze him in place and kited him. He finally rezzed at the spirit healer.

Hehe that sounds fun! It is something I would do now and then when I'm online and bored at night. :p I also like to give them a chance to prove they are really there before having some fun and also reporting them. >_>
