So do we have to know the Muffin Man or go to Swamp of Sorrows and find an orge named Shrek to spawn Gingy?

Well you have to go fight the ogre Shrak and his pet ram named Dinkey (we don't wanna get sued here!), and they drop a map to the Muffinus Man's house on the corner of Drury and Mulberry Lane. Once you reach his house, you find crumbs everywhere, and there stands Muffinus Man, who drops a recipe for Gingy if you can defeat (not kill) him. The recipe recipes 800 cooking and rare ingredients from all over Azeroth. You have to go back to Muffinus Man's house to bake the special cookie, but as soon as you do, the defeated but alive Muffinus Man jumps out and takes a bite out of it. The cookie gets mad, hits Muffinus Man with a killing blow, and you are left with a sad bitten cookie to eat tame.

Quiv: your quest line idea DOES sound wonderful, however!

If I run out of raid food can I eat one of his legs?

I imagine this is one hunter pet that doesn't need to be fed?

Ability: "Crumb: Your cookie drops crumbs on the ground, allowing you to eat it. If you eat for more than 10 seconds, you become well fed, increasing your worst stat by 300. Using Crumb reduces your pets total HP by 10% for one hour, stacking."

Alternative ability: "Sugar Rush: Your cookie drops crumbs on the ground, allowing you to eat them. If you eat for more than 10 seconds you become well-fed, increasing Haste by 15% but lowering Stamina by 50%. Also, every 30 seconds during any fight you have to take a break to pee. Upon returning to your hearth your doctor drops you a note with a prescription for insulin."
