Was I the only one who lost their grub?

So, since the thing with the wolf pups, I've been looking at alot of people saying that Blizz has never taken away a trick pet other than the worgen. And I think there was a bear cub too. So, this is making me wonder...Was I the only one who lost their grub? I had the green one (I had stupidly released the red one for some reason), and then I took a break from WoW for quite a while. When I came back, I no longer had a grub. I thought they just removed them from everyone, but I guess not.

I have my grubs too. I don't know what happened to yours

I think grubs are one of those borderline things - they probably don't want to create a precedent and open them all up to taming right now but also they're similar to caterpillars and therefore not a big deal. Hence it was unlikely they'd bother removing them.

I didn't get the green one because it didn't fit my Teen Titans - Silkie (Starfires Pet) theme

Although in the same vein, a buddy did have their baby direhorn 'poof' on them so idk... so yes both my ally and horde, have the cute Silkie orange one

Hm, how odd. I guess it would be useless to ask for it back. It was a long time ago, and it wasn't an "approved" pet anyway. Bleh. I'm glad that most folks got to keep theirs, at least. I don't understand why grubs aren't part of the worm family. They are an obvious choice to fill out a tiny family and make as much sense or more as the caterpillars. The caterpillars have never looked quite right to me as a hunter pet. They look like a blown up critter. The grubs at least look like they should be large.

Well, maybe it's worth a shot. Some GMs are cooler about that sort of thing than others. With how they're locking down the ticket system lately though, it's really hard to really nail down what you're wanting them to do... but I once had a GM restore my oil wolf that I didn't even remember the name of. They sifted through the dozens of tamed-and-released failed attempts and found the one that stuck and was able to restore it from YEARS ago.
Really can't hurt to try, can it?

I guess, but they even denied my request to have my Jandvik wolf returned. Not much faith in GM's ability to relate to players anymore.

You might as well try asking, it's worth a shot at least.

You can still ask for him back. Way way way back, long before Hydras where even thought of as hunter pets. I had my ghost hydra from Scholizar, accidentally abandoned him and the GM I spoke to gave him back. All you can do is ask, and the worst they will do is say no.

I've had a couple of GMs tell me that there's a time limit on it though. I've asked for pets back that I let go back in LK or Cata, and was told that they didn't go back that far. Whether that's true or not, I don't know.
