Here are some of the cool screenshots I managed to get while I had my worgen. Since they were fairly rare I figured I'd share them. I miss him, been going through pets like bullets for a while now trying to find a replacement

Ah, you were one of the lucky ones that had him for a while. I wasn't able to tame him, sadly, but it seems like such a cool thing to won, even for a limited time. At least you have screenshots to remember it by.

I'm still miffed that the new Worgen playable race does not run on all fours. =/ That's one of the coolest animations for Worgen, yet they skimp out on it. ><

Yeah, I remember when I tamed HowlsALot... It was the day before they removed his tameability. Lucky me!

Unfortunately these pets lost their look, and transformed into ordinary worgs (wolves) didn't they?

Just noticed your character's name was 'Silverbulet' .... it seems so fitting to have a werewolf for a pet!

Yep, they did...
And I already had done that quest and couldn't get him anymore.
On the other hand, that was good because I would have been so pissed when Blizzard took him away.

Yeah, one of my first pets was actually a worg named Wareworg.
And yes sadly these pets were destroyed by blizz and turned into lower lvl white worgs.
For a while before that they just had no moves which was a ton of fun soloing hopefully they got the idea people like these kinds of pets and maybe will make ones like it in the future.

I actually kept howls around for a while even when he didn't have any spells. He was THAT awesome! Then one dreadful morning I logged in, and Howls was a normal, ugly Wolf. :'(

After I asked a GM to restore him, which he refused, I quickly abandoned my ugly wolf.

I heard they might actually get the four legged run animation >> For their sprint at least! I would be happy with that.

And I am so jealous you got that pet Bullet =x

Very cool looking. I remember seeing these around a while back. I wasn't really interested in getting one, which I suppose was lucky in the end when they got taken away. But always thought they looked cool.

In this single case I just disagree. When this glitch turned up, the work on Cataclysm must have been in progress.
They couldn't let hunters have a worgen pet when the worgen were coming up as a playable race, could they?
Try to imagine to see a hunter with a Gnome or Tauren as a pet!
When it happened and Blizz took actions immediately, I knew this wasn't some harmless glitch, especially when people posted that their worgen turned to be a worg.
What pisses me off a lot more is when I see people having a pet that I can't have anymore, like the Ghost Wolf or the Slime.

Yeah, I never got to tame one as it was packed on my realm at his spawning point, pretty much all the time. Then they go and take him away. Kinda glad I never got him, I'd have been so sad to lose him.

Oh, I miss my Faolan so, so much. I knew they were going to take him away, because of all the hush-hushness, so I took loads of screenshots and videos, took him camping, fed him innocent bunnies, had loads of good times.... Then cried when he was gone. I got attached so fast... T-T I couldn't stand to play my Hunter for weeks after that.

I can relate, I finaly managed to be able to tame a nice rare glitch pet, and blizz decided thats the one they're going to fix...doesnt matter that this worgen doesnt use the same model as the playable worgen race...In some ways, I really have blizzard.
I mis my awsome "wolf" Galianbeast. He was by far the coolest looking pet.

I also had a feeling Blizzard were working on Cataclysm at the time of this glitch, and got very excited over the fact that Worgens could become playable races and i told all my WoW playing friends and they thought it was an interesting idea, although i couldn't help get the feeling that it may have confused one or two...

I miss poor Alpha. He looked so awesome next to Fire. That, and a hunter and I worked a good three hours together so both of us could get it. Good times, I must say.

Wait, there was a worgen pet? I never heard anything about that until now.

Garwal is a Wolf in Howling Fjord who's the objective of a quest. He was marked as a beast, and tameable.

When you fight him, though, he transforms into a Worgen form at low health. Hunters figured out that if you times the tame just right, you can finish the tame RIGHT when he transforms, and he got stuck in Worgen form, hence having a Worgen pet.

Unfortunately Blizzard fixed this almost immediately afterwards, so they were short lived. If anyone still had the Worgen he just became a regular white wolf.
