I found this on Elitist Jerks, a list of Focus costs for Hunter shots and abilities.
Misdirection: 15

Eagle Eye: 25
Mend Pet: 25
Scare Beast: 25

Explosive Trap: 30
Flare: 30
Freezing Trap: 30
Frost Trap: 30
Immolation Trap: 30
Kill Command: 30
Master's Call: 30
Rapid Fire: 30
Snake Trap: 30

Concussive Shot: 35
Freezing Arrow: 35
Intimidation: 35
Scatter Shot: 35
Wyvern Sting: 35

Arcane Shot: 45
Bestial Wrath: 45
Black Arrow: 45
Explosive Shot: 45

Multi-Shot: 60

Volley: 75
There are also a couple of other items, a Melee Specialization for the Survival Tree, and Scorpid Sting is changing to increase physical damage taken by 5%. The latter is going to mean that in every raid one Hunter is going to be tasked with providing Scorpid Sting over Serpent Sting.
Kill Command costing 30 Focus is nuts. Looking these over I just don't feel that the Hunter is going to be as diverse a class anymore as we have to choose DPS or utility. I can spend 30 Focus on Rapid Fire, another 30 on Kill Command, and the rest of my Focus on one shot before having to go into Steady spam to get Focus back. What's the point of Rapid Fire then as a DPS boost?

My kitty druid suffers from focus starvation. I don't know if it's something I'm doing wrong or what. I use tiger's fury. At any rate, I hope this won't happen with my hunters too.

Probably not, actually. Hunters as they are right now play a lot like casters, in that if you're not spamming something, you're losing damage. Kitties(and other energy classes) are designed to not be spamming something every second. A lot of times I'll be waiting like 2-3 seconds doing nothing because rake is about to fall off and if I do anything else I won't have the energy to reapply it immediately, and that design is intentional. As long as you don't let the energy bar get full on cats(or rogues) you're not losing damage, despite what it may feel like compared to a hunter.

With steady and that nature shot giving focus instead of using it, hunter gameplay likely won't change much from spamming anyways, in that you'll be pounding those if you're not moving and don't have enough focus for anything else.

So it's not just me then? That's a relief. I guess I just felt like if I was doing nothing, then something was wrong.

Really, it's way too early to tell how it will balance out. I do find it amusing that they are now telling us to spam shots when they used to deride us for spamming steady. I do like the change to nature shot for BM, esp with the removal of ArP. It will give us something a bit different, but we need to see the real talent trees to see how it works out.

But I can still see a macroed dps rotation, especially for BM.. :-)

I'm not happy.

Not happy at all.

Guessing hunters are going to take a backburner over serious dungeon scrawling for me and just become 'Pet Collectors mark 2' for me.

because wasting 75 focus on rapid fire and TBW before I have to bloody go to steady spam to allow me to spam everything does NOT sound like a bleeding improvement.

It sounds like how I heard TBC was all over again :|

Remember guys, these are also the numbers blizzard gave us like 3 months ago if I remember correctly, they were most certainly placeholders then, and more than likely still are now. And With Nature/Steady, we should be fine. :D

Yeah, I'm not going to pay much heed to anything until release pretty much, or possibly the late beta. It's just too early to tell at the moment.

And don't forget we have BRK investigating the alpha for us...he's sure to do detailed reports on any hunter things that are too broken.

That would explain why I can't do cat dps. .-. I'm too used to having to spam to keep up my Dps. (Since my two big Dps toons are a Hunter and a Balance Druid)

Gonna wait for the Beta before saying anything. See how Blizzard plays this out.
