Has anyone tamed the Raptor or the Gryphon since the prepatch dropped? Been camping ORG for the Raptor but it has not spawned since prepatch. Wonder if we need to be 120 to see it now?

I am looking at the feather right now on my 110 hunter so it still works.

How hard is it for Ally to get to the raptor's spot?

Easy on a dead server! I can help you out, with my Earthen Ring hunter

If you have a horde character, you should go there to spot it first, and to get an idea of the lay of the canyon. When you bring in your alliance character, you can safely scout with eagle eye from the top of the canyon. If you know the closest NPC, and can mark them, then it's a lot easier to get your alliance character into position. Time of day might matter, but there were hardly any horde around, especially in that part of the city, when I did it.

Fast ways for alliance to get closer to Orgrimmar:
BI Dalaran, Pet shop. The arcane elemental can send you to Wailing Caverns. I don't remember if some pet battle achievement was necessary to unlock.
Vale of Eternal Blossoms, alliance city, on the patio there is a gnomish teleporter, it takes you to Ratchet (N. Barrens) for 5 g.
Stormwind, take portal to Mt. Hyjal.

I should be able to pull you to a dead server, so, might not be too bad if you want to try that :) I think that works in capital cities, still, doesn't it?

Don't mind me, I'm just popping in for a second.

I noticed when I grouped with a friend that, as long as I was in the city when I invited them to group, I would pull them over to my realm. However, if I wasn't in the city then they would remain in their realm and, when I went to the city as well, it pulled me over to their more populated realm.

Also, leaving the city and then coming back (especially with BGs and other things that instance you) will move you to the more populated realm regardless of whether you're the leader or not. Just a heads up, but it should still work, as long as you're in the city when you send the invite :)

That'll depend mostly on server population and whether the local Horde players feel like being jerks.

I've not tamed him on an Alliance hunter, but the friends I've talked to who have said the toughest part was just getting into the city without guard aggro. Spec into camouflage and you're pretty safe just hanging out behind the hut where the egg spawns.

Now if there are Horde around there (and I rarely see anyone hanging out in the Troll section), then they might cause issues if they spot you. When I was after the egg on my Horde hunter, I'd notice stealthed Alliance hunters there now and then. I let 'em be, and figured since they were there first, I'd head out to do other things so that they could get the pet when the egg spawned.

I main Horde, and most horde I know generally ignore Gon campers unless the Alliance person attacks first.
