Hey there,

First time poster here, i've just unlocked the Dark Iron Dwarf allied race, and wanted to share infos.








This pet http://wow-petopia.com/look.php?id=darkhound2_fiery is the Dark Iron Dwarf starter, and this one http://wow-petopia.com/look.php?id=corehoundsmall is untameable (it is friendly).

I'll take a few screenshots to prove what i'm saying.

I was wondering if you could please do one thing for me. Could you please target your pet and type the macro:
And report the number that it gives? That'll confirm which ID I need to assign it in the database. I'll have to find out the Mag'har one, too.

I listed the single-head Core Hounds in the main list a while back. Unfortunately, they are the only mobs currently using that model.

It looks like their starting pet must be the "Blazehound" that was datamined on Wowhead some time ago:

The only model ID for that model in the current database is # 11160, and a Wowhead search for that model number brings up only that NPC. Of course the downside to the result being that specific is that there doesn't seem to be any potential version for the rest of us to find, at least for now.

Now to find someone with a Mag'har hunter so we can see what they ended up with. It was a standard grey maned wolf in Beta, but it may have changed, just like the Dark Iron one did.

Using the new pics I updated the site image for the fiery darkhound. It wasn't straightforward (WoW Model Viewer doesn't display the glowing texture and I had to add it manually) so hopefully it looks ok.

Nice. I remembered previewing a Dark Iron a few months ago and being a little disappointed that they seemed to have the basic red with yellow mane darkhound skin. Very pleased to see this unique skin, and I can’t wait to get to the point to unlock this race to play myself.

Just out of curiosity, what spec is the pet. Just interested if any of the newer starting pets (Dark Iron or Mag'har) don't line up with the spec of the species like the Voidstalker pet for Void Elves.

Yeah, you have to level one in order to get the pet. Race changing won't grant you it.

Thanks! It's the only occurrence of a pet ID that is used for both a starter pet and a wild beast that can be tamed by anyone, since that ID is for the Shadowmoon Stalker. I had to do a bit of recoding to get it to work but it's now on the starter pet chart:

I can't think of anywhere else that checks starter pet values and may have broken because of my changes, but please let me know if you see anything that looks weird.

Is the Void Elf Warpstalker a real Warpstalker or am I remembering wrong? I thought they were Tenacity where as the normal Warpstalker is Cunning.

Yeah, I may need to fix that :/ It's in a different family. I originally cheated and called it a Warp Stalker, thinking it wouldn't be any different, but now it is.

Welp. Time to go do 7th Legion wqs. That darkhound is magnificent and I must have one. I saw my first Dark Iron today, too. A very awesome shaman lass. The Dark Iron are so amazing looking!
