Considering blood beasts are mutated aberrations, I think the weird mutant oozes can be group as them as well. Blood beast can be the umbrella group for genetically and physically mutated animals where magic and science went too far.

I though Blood Beasts were mutant Loa Toad babies.

Those are Crawgs.
Blood-Ticks are also in the Blood Beast family.

If they were blood oozes, maybe, but maybe one day there'll be an 'aberration' category that they can fit. Though the preference still seems to be for things that look somewhat like animals, so it's possible they won't ever be.

I meant that instead of crocolisks, the bugged oozes that already had been tamed by players in Wrath should be classified as blood beast as I think it fits them best while it would still make them accessible to all specs.

Oh, I see

Yeah, I guess no matter which family it's in it would be a bit ill-fitting. How about a spirit beast, since it is a spirit?
The Spirit of Atha (hydra) would be good as a spirit beast, too. But that might upset people who use it but don't play BM.
