How many did we get with BFA, might be able to guess how many new tamable beasts there will be in Shadowlands if we compare stable slots to pets.

We got 10 new slots with BfA.

Is the increase live on the alpha yet? Or still gonna be a waiting game to find out how many?

I know this is wish full think. Watch it be 50.

They do say significant so im guessing at least more than 10. But they do need at least 50 because there are some critters i will have to go back and get after having to drop a few.

Unlimited (think transmog)

Imma say this without the intent to cause a stir, but I'd love an unlimited stable size that's like that. The pets won't lose their uniqueness, because you're storing an NPC rather than a template, and battle pets work just like that for the most part (I think?). I'd be totally fine with just ten extra slots though.

I'd love an unlimited account-wide stable, but ONLY if it didn't work the way battle pets did, where you could only have one of them and the name persisted across the account. I've tamed the same model of multiple different pets on several different characters and given it a separate name each time... I'd be pretty upset as a roleplayer if I could only keep one of those iterations.

Based on that wording, I'm guessing 80 or 100 total stable slots.

Holy crap, that’s so many I’m going to have less than half a stable of pets
Edit-This is not as exciting as the return of eyes of the beast, which I can gank and trick low level players to believing im a spawning npc or stalk people as a cat or a spirit beast

They surprised me again--I'm gonna have to re-tame my beetle rainbow! Seriously though, I don't think there's any way even I can tame that many.

...wait, does this mean someone can actually tame every cat in the game? haha!

Yeah, I can prolly section off an expansion if I wanted to from vanilla to shadowlands by pages

I guess this is an acceptable change. Should give us 1000 slots instead!

Jokes aside, there's not even 200 pets I want to have. Even if I got every recolor of the models I like, I'd still have almost half a stable open. I want someone to go crazy with this though and tame 200 of a single rare beast. 200 Nakk the Thunderer? 200 Loque'nahak? Or god forbid you get blacklisted by every player on every server, 200 Oondasta?

Without a rework of the pet families all those extra pets will just rot away in my stables. Right now, as a BM hunter, there are 26 possible pets in the game for me to use and still be optimal. 26 Spirit Beasts.

I guess Blizzard won’t add more stable slots every xpac since they added 5 xpacs worth of stable slots, there’s no way they’ll add more after shadowlands, if they do, they’re going crazy

For me this feels like the equivalent of being gifted a grand mansion when all I really need is a small room.

It's very generous! It should last us a good long while
