I don't main a shaman, so I really have no skin in this game. However it struck me as so odd that the Shaman gear previewed on the character selection screen uses Hunter shoulders. Sure, its a cool transmog, but Rylak shoulders is deeply hunter themed, not remotely shaman themed. Seems especially odd considering how many absolutely rad shaman themed shoulders are available.

...huh, I hadn't really noticed but you're right, that does seem like a strange choice. I mean I guess there's fire in them but...the beast skull really doesn't suit their aesthetic as well as a hunter.

I considered the fire, but that honestly put me more in mind of a combination of the furnace in Blackrock Foundry and the fact Rylaks can breathe fire.

And to be fair, some Shaman gear involves skulls, but there are far more fitting options all around imo.

Very weird. Surely this is a temp set, or a mistake :/ nothing about it says stereotypical shaman.

It doesnt seem TOO odd if you consider Orc Shaman.
Rylaks are from Draenor, which are where Orcs are from. They use Rylaks for many things and there are indeed Shaman there.

That being said though.... it makes 0 sense for NON Orc Shaman.

I recognize it as a Shaman set, because that was the class I took into Mythic Hellfire with my guild. If I hadn't, I don't know that I would have guessed it as a Shaman set. Earthshatterer, Cataclysm, Skyshatter, Valorous Worldbreaker, and Bound Elements all would have been better choices.

Looks like today's build changed them to the ones that match the robe!
