Some concepts, using in-game assets, Narcissus, and a little image editing. I know it's not like what the artists in this sub-forum usually do, but it's what I've got for now.
We've got a lot of hearthstone visual options, but we're still missing the obvious one:
(spell visual: (hearthstone) 98038, (teleport right hand) 48693, animation: 1088
Alliance just got MoP gryphons, while the horde not only got BfA pterrordaxe, one of them had a cool Bwonsamdi special effect. Even though this gryphon was hexed by the heartsbane coven, tack made from silver and rowan-wood work wonders.
I've got half a story for this one, just not a very good narrative structure. Here's a portion of it: Mechagon royalists regularly sabotage the mechagon mainframe, so someone wrote an anti-malware program to find and neutralize it. It developes autonomy, enters the real world, hijinks ensue. Ghost-in-the-Machine is a suitable spirit beast for a tinker-themed-hunter. Also, there's mechagnome and goblin technoshaman in the half-formed story, so ghostwolf / feral spirits too.
speaking of ghost wolf, the icon is a purple wolf. but your wolf isn't purple. why isn't this?!
spell visual: (purple tint) 6479, Deepfang x Hati
This is another one where it's just a mob with a tint. I wanted to use a spell visual for the tint instead of just adjusting it in an image editor, so it took a while to find the right one. Red hyena's new colors haven't grown on me, here's what one could look like:
spell visual: (orange, only used preview to leave out other visual effects) 5895
I added a shadow for this one, the ghost wolf looks weird without it I think.

Those are very cool
I hadn't heard of Narcissus, I'll have to check it out!
