Red drake - Wyrmrest Accord, 1600g at Exalted
Blue drake - Heroic (random) Occulus, 5% drop rate in cache of Eregos
Bronze drake - Heroic Culling of Stratholme, 100% drop rate from Infinite Corruptor
Black drake - Obsidian Sanctum 10-man, 100% drop rate with 3 drakes up
Green drake - ???

I kind of thought it would be a rare drop reward from ICC, since you have to rescue a green dragon at some point. Since that was disproved, anyone have any other theories?

I've also wondered when we'd get a Green drake as a flying mount.

Perhaps in some future Emerald Dream expansion?

Thats exactly why they did NOT release green drakes - green drakes are part of The Emerald Dream and the lore surrounding it so Blizzard stated they werent putting them in game until they were ready with The Emerald Dream itself. I remember because while a gm was helping me with a problem on my druid I asked him out of curiousity - I had won my bronze drake from Strat and hadnt recieved it so he found it for me lol

Is it actually green ? I know there is drake that's blueish green.

Nope thats a blue drake - THIS is a green drake and currently no drake mounts aside the one you ride in Occulus to heal have this model as a mount - http://www.wowdata.ru/data/userimg/5/5514.jpg

Maybe it's in the data files but you cant get it yet then.

Only time will tell - I've wanted this drake above all others for as long as I can remember - I love how to make their eyes are more sinister/reptillian? I guess is the word..

For some reason there has also been purple drake in the game files as well for some time but who knows when they were supposed to use that... it doesn't represent any flights. I had always hoped there would be a reason for it, or thought that perhaps a purple flight would replace blue some day. :\

I've long wanted a sleepy green drake. Perhaps next expansion there will finally be one?

You don't mean the chromatic dragonflight do you? They seem more magenta to me, but some people consider it purple.

If the purple drake is like uber dark black/purple, then it's a Twilight Drake.
If it's just purple, it's a drake you get from Ony 10/25 man drop.

This is almost like how we can't get Bronze Dragon Whelps as mini pets. Why would you leave these dragons homeless blizz? D=

wait that bluseish green drake someone posted is just a blue one :S. I'd love a green drake then if i got that and the black one i'd have the hole 5 flights.

That's it exactly! I agree that it looks more magenta, I just default "purple" somehow. I forgot all about the Chromatics. It's still interesting that they included that color with the mounts, I still hope they might use it some day. I played with the model viewer a bit... sitting dragons are adorable:

Really it's just every drake with a saddle on it. Blizzard sort of c&p the colors.

they did the same with the twilight one but this one looks alot better IMO the twilight one looks poo to me

True, they do just keep a collection of skins for some models. I figure it's like extras to make use of when needed. For the Dreadsabres in Sholazar they had that skin sitting idle for years and it was finally given a home during Lich King. Some day there ought to at least be a reason to give out a green drake mount. Obtaining a chromatic drake seems a lot more iffy but it could still be done. Here's some greens and their sleepy eyes:
