I swear I saw a post here somewhere about taming Amarth from Necrotic wake? or am I imagining it? I just tried to tame him in normal difficulty and got the message that he is too high a level to tame. Did I miss or imagine that he was tameable?

He was tamable at one point. It is possible that they have since fixed it so that you can no longer tamed him, since I reported him being tamable back at launch.
