Hi

I just came back to WOW from 3-4 year break and I'm wondering where all my pets are gone?

I only have the ones that are active, all my other pets are gone, nothing in the stables at all.

Did Blizzard change something that removed unused pets from hunters?

Try dragging one of your active pets into one of your stable slots that you know would have a pet and see if that makes anything visible. I know I had an issue similar to this at one point and it turned out to be some weird visual bug.

Hate the thought that all my hard work getting spirit pets, and "ghost" pets was for nothing.

Yikes maybe try putting in a ticket with customer service?

I’ve heard of pets going fake-missing because of cache issues before. Try deleting the cache and wtf folders from your WoW application folder. If that doesn’t work, a GM should be able to restore your pets. They’ve certainly done that for hunters in the past. Good luck!
